The irony of this game is, the dev has become lazier and the updates became non-existent after the Dev had resigned from his job and made this VN a high priority.
Then I wonder if he needs to go back finding a job lol so that way he knows the stress of actually having a real job so he will be motivated to work on HeartProblem to get extra dough.
All jokes and criticism aside from my end, his render is nice and the models are nice. If he recruits a small team to help him write a bit of story, write dialogues, and then render the none important stuff, he can really draw some attention. I am starting to wonder if I should do a side hustle like this lol!

I'll be honest, it's difficult to have confidence in xenorav like that, the guy just disappears, doesn't report the news, more than a month and a half since the last report, with no response.
Guys, 5 minutes or less is enough to make a small post explaining the reason for the absence lately, it's ok we would extend it rather than leaving people adrift without news.
If the delay with episode 8 wasn't enough, this will have to be repeated again

This shit happens everytime and people forget about it the moment they get their hands on the new update. So instead of making up some ridiculous excuses for the delay it's infinitely better to stay quiet until the update is finished.

Just accept that Xenovar will never become a real developer. Be happy if he can force some kind of update out of himself, but don't fool yourself into thinking he'll pull himself together and start producing consistent work that will lead to the completion of the project. The probability of this is extremely low.

True. And I'm wondering how he's doing financially. He quit his Real life job in order to work on this full time. Can he make a living with what he's earning atm ? Was it really worth it to quit his " secured " job and bet on " unsecured " pledges ? Is he earning more, the same amount as his old job or less ? Doesn't he have bills to pay ? Yeah, that's a lot of questions, but interesting ones IMHO.
Dozens of Devs said they'll never give up/complete their games, but they didn't keep their word...So, I have to disagree with you on that one, man. First one which comes to my mind is " Back to the Cabin ". Dr Zukinsky said multiple times he'll never abandon the game. It's been almost 2 years he disappeared and his discord channel is filled with spambots.

Sure. Still, unless he displays his income, we don't know how much he's earning nevertheless. If he's making + 5k, then, yeah, I guess he's getting good cash. Let us say he's working 12 hours per day, is this money still worth it in the end ? He said himself he was going to pull out shorter and faster updates... And here we are still waiting 5 months later.
He said he had heart issues, indeed. Don't know if he got better. He should workout at least 30 mins per day. If he's stucked behind his PC + 10 hours per day without any physical activities, it won't do him any good. Anyway, he doesn't communicate much, so we have 0 idea of what's going on behind the scenes. In the end, you're right. A game is a game. His health is more important and that's something money can't buy most of the time.

Idk about patreon politics. But the logic I followed was, if everyone pays at least 1 dollar he makes 1700 dollars a month. Idk about over where he lives, but here in my country, someone who gains that is upper middle class, more than enough for a living. If only I had this income monthly....

That's only 425/wk before taxes, also don't know where he's from but in the US it'd be difficult if not impossible to live on that while supporting a family. But that's assuming all his paying patrons are lowest tier which is asinine.
I fear his mom found his PC, saw what he has been doing with it, and took it away. So now it's sitting on a high shelf where he can't reach it.
