Hello everyone! In case you haven't been keeping up with my Devlogs on itch, my computer's motherboard went out and it's just been holding me up. So while I wait, collect feedback, and typo fixes, I want to see what y'all think I should do after I finish v03. I could just continue on and work on v04, or I could work on rerendering the early game and UI updates. There's an open poll in the discord if you'd like to vote there or just reply to me here.

v03 Progress (May 26, 2025)
Hello everyone! Magnum here again with an updated for v03!
So as things currently stand, there are currently 585 completed renders for v03 and I still have two major events to render. So despite being shorter than v01 by a couple thousand words, it'll be the most render heavy update thus far.
Unfortunatetly, I'm having to go on a small hiatus due to a IRL work priorities for roughly two weeks. Fortunately, this works hiatus should help provide me with the funds I need to properly upgrade my current setup. This entire time I've been using a gaming laptop that only has 4GB of RAM for the game. And while it's definitely been putting work in, it's extremely slow going, especially on quality detailed maps. Even basic renders sometimes just completely freeze up or crash my computer so I can't consistently put out higher quality renders like I want. But all that should soon be fixed.
To make up for this two week delay, please enjoy some preview renders from the upcoming update. Patreon supporters get access to even more that are dropped in my discord and as a reminder when v03 is complete, Patreon supporters will get it two weeks in advanced.

I am actually following you there, and here. I very often try to support dev's that way since I am WAY over extended on Patreon and Substar already. I just do what I can. Your game came highly recommended, but I only found it recently so I have not had time to get into it yet, but soon....

I appreciate that. Admittedly the beginning of the game is somewhat rough because I was still learning a lot during that time and still developing character voice and rendering techniques. After v03 drops I'll be remastering the early game with better models and an upgraded rig

Howdy everyone. I want you to know work has been continuing. We're currently sitting over 700 total renders for v03 but what I really want to draw your attention to is the improvements that have been made ever since Hearts on Parole launched.
I'll be the first to admit when my shit stinks. v01 has some particularly rough shots lighting was horrible, graphically weak, and dialogue definitely wasn't in place yet. All reasons why after v03 launches it'll get reworked.
These two pictures demonstrate a significant leap in my capabilities and skills (and the power of strong hardware). While I'm still honing things, especially now that I have a proper PC to run things, the game is continuing to see constant improvement. I am really excited for this update, more than any that came before it. She still needs a little time in the oven, but she'll be ready soon.
