Do mods get outdated with every update? I see a Google Drive link (thank you Glacialweather) that has a bunch of mods but the latest ones are from June of this year.

I think glacialweather went on hiatus or something, since they haven't been around much. I think they said something about getting busy with school or something but I can't find the post where they said that so I dunno... The Google Drive likely has not been curated in awhile.

As far as mods getting outdated, they usually just work until they don't, the only reliable way to tell is to test them. I would just download the ones that you want and if they don't work assume they're outdated. New mods for this game rarely get made, and the ones that exist rarely get updated, and even then usually only to fix compatibility issues.

If you really want the latest and greatest mods, you can pay like $1 or 2$ to get access to the Heat Discord and their mod channel. If you manually request the "Full Access" role after subscribing on Patreon, you will maintain access even after you stop paying, unless they manually remove you. I guess if you can't/won't use Patreon but still want a particular mod, just make a request here or @ me and I'll see what I can do. I would make a throwaway account for some filesharing service but I'm lazy.

I haven't added anything yet, as it will take lots of manual downloading/uploading to move stuff around and I'm currently trying to work my way through college so I'm short on time. Don't know how long it will take me to finish moving everything, but I'll post updates here as I go.

Update: I've uploaded all the mods I currently have on my PC, which is like 90% of the current working mods. I'll troll through the Discord another time and make sure I get everything, and then I'll go back to the Google Drive to check there too.

I have these mods in ver 0.6.7.2 and they all work, Boma atlas, Death garret, Garret grey wolf, Raccoon garret, White atlas and Multiply cum, multiply cum resets every time you start the game so always go to mod configuration and set multiply cum how you want it after starting game.

unrelated, but does their modding tools potentially enable creating custom locations? I vaguely remember some post about documentation on modding but havent looked into it yet. if it is possible I might try to whip up something super simple in blender or w/e because I recently got a quest 3 and Virtual Desktop and making a passthrough enabled environment would be fuckin tight, it works good with VaM lol

EDIT: ok so technically vertex can do autofellatio, but only if you detach his penis, which feels like cheating lol. also the new hip alignment/dick aiming system def needs work as they said in the patch notes, the hand snapping thing needs work too as its twitchy and about a 50/50 shot whether or not the hand snaps somewhere inside the other character which is super fucking annoying

AlextheCarder, it worked for me best using the Quest player software. Steam and VirtualDesktop is annoying. I can't get the camera working for example, tho. The "toy cum button" seems to not work on Quest 3 and 0.6.7.2.

what are your system specs and kind of router do you have? and many devices are connected to it? what are your bandwidth settings in virtual desktop? there are a lot of variables lol. seemed to run fine for me and ive got a GLiNet beryl mt1300 and on the 5ghz band with only the quest 3 connected the only times i experienced lag was when toggling recordings on and off it'd spike for a min and then settle back down. pc is an r7 5800x 32gb ram and rtx3080

When the radial menu is enabled, posing balls will appear. Grab the balls (gently) to pose the corresponding parts of your body. This should make it feasible to get into positions with the playerbody! We've also added a slider to be able to pose your body in a specific pose, and poses in-between." What sequence of buttons should I press? When I press Tab, nothing unusual happens, no balls appear, or is this only for the VR version?

Playerbody is currently a VR-only mode.

Not sure why you'd want to replace models, you can add new characters or retexture the existing ones with the mod tools. I haven't messed with them as I think the ones here are old and require you to get files from old builds of the game.

There are some old (and likely deprecated) ones on the Google Drive, but most are found in the official Discord. I'm not archiving them in my Proton Drive due to the fact many are quickly broken by updates and there are too many to easily archive.

Absolutely zilch, from what I've seen in official channels. Honestly this sounds like something that they'd put at the end of the roadmap. Trying to implement multiplayer in furry sex games has a way of killing projects.

There was an old model for Izzy, but it has long since been deprecated and the creator hasn't taken time to fix it up due to irl things. Other than that, there has been zero mention of people putting completely new models in the game.

As far as I am aware, you can import/add models to Heat. There are some skins that add geometry to characters, but I imagine that's not the same. I'm no modder myself, so the methodology behind either of these is completely lost on me. I do know there are some useful resources in the Google Drive modding tools and the official Discord.

As far as custom locations go, yes you can make new locations. There are currently three (Cosmos Suite, Cafe Leblanc, and Autumn Dorm). Don't know about VR passthrough as no one has attempted it in Heat to my knowledge, but go nuts if you want to try.

thanks, been collecting actual made in Hawaii vintage Hawaiian shirts for over a decade. only a small part of what is currently becoming a problematically large vintage clothing collection. need to start a poshmark store or putting stuff on ebay soon, I've got something like 150ish shirts dating from the 50s to y2k era lol.

pass-through using virtual desktop is Hella easy. all you need to do is make a cube of a room, probably set up some light sources and stuff, make it a solid color, and write down the rgb values of the color used. select the appropriate color in Virtual Desktop and that's pretty much it. anybody got a link to the modding documentation? if I get some spare time and finish some more pressing projects I'll take a crack at it.
