I apologize for continuing this booze argument - as if the in-game club design and dresses have anything to do with real world liquor-licensing law - most know this is more about tripping over themselves to avoid the slightest thing that could offend the biggest demographic of players.

The look of the Old Fashioned is what threw me. It's served in rocks glass (also called an old fashioned glass), not that boat drink looking glass we get in game. There's your booze outrage, if you're looking for one.

The glass it was served in is likely an issue with lack of decent assets.

There are a couple decent asset packs for food and drinks, but most are crud.

I figured they had the option of a regular whiskey, or something with cherries and orange peel, and since we see the MC drink straight bourbon, steps were taken. At least I hope it's something like that, as you say.
Yeah, high-quality Daz assets are patchy in certain areas. There's like a bjillion different lingerie assets but almost no backpack assets, for example.

this x1000, you can find 4000 corsets and like 2 raincoats, 3000 high heels and yet no windbreakers.....
People say it's to appeal to the market, personally, I go for the whole "lady in the streets" look more before shes in the bedroom....I'd be embarassed to be seen playing a game like badik in that regard (i wonder if other avn players get that)... so I suppose that is something which could be seen as a strength for this game; them not feeling fully nude all the time.

I mean, duh, they decided to make a romance harem game, respecting that demographic seems to be the smart idea, no?
Gotta love that same ones using muh immersion and muh realism to justify LIs and potential LIs being shown fucking around and/or not shutting up about their previous, or ongoing sex life, are the same ones complaining here that the game actually goes for immersion and realism with the chosen location(allegedly). They should be all for it, am I right?
Almost like that was a bulshit excuse for them wanting the girls to be portrayed as sluts all along, either because they like that sort of content, or they enjoy the main audience being upset about it. Its not like the College Game has sex workers as fan favorite characters for vanilla players and while having a thread bigger than any other thread on the site, it rarely gets any controversy on the topic. Almost like you don't need unsavory monologues, dialogue and fully rendered and animated scenes showing them in the act to portray them as realistic characters, since people are not redacted and can infer things on their own.

Whilst the debate of laws, immersion, and technicalities continues, I have set out to come up with a theory that seeks to answer a vital pressing question: "Who is Wibble?"
Well, what do we know about him? He is the chef of Heaven's Door, makes amazing food, and his name may not really be Wibble.
Why is his identity so secretive? Obviously this dinner conversation is crucial to the overall plot of the novel, as we are given clues to this mystery "Wibble" who will most certainly be the key to curing our MC.
So who do we know that makes amazing food, has a secretive past, and is known by false names?
That's right, in this "Alter World," instead of pursuing a career in the arts, the MC of Bare Witness decided to hone his innate cooking skills and became the master chef of Heaven's Door. Cased closed.

I mean, this is an alternate reality of that other game, and we know at least one reality where there's a world-renowned architect with that name, but we never saw his face there either, so this works for that reality too ^_^

Yeah it's a double edged sword tbh cause I don't mind when games do that just because it feels like the girls have a life outside of the MC. Yet here I also dislike it cause I have a completely different image in my head when I think of a strip club haha. Thats my point, that you do no need visual, or text confirmation of what can be deduced from playing the game. You can assume that they've done/are doing the same thing they did with the MC with other clients. The only need for showing, or telling that is if you are making a game that appeals to that sort of audience. Simple as that.
