Why is everyone so surprised??? The original game and story were fantastic, and you could see the route the game was going. But people bitched about the dad having sex with the mom (like wait his mom wasn't a virgin!!!!, NTR SCUM!! lmao) so of course its rushed and the story is shit. they need to continue where the original game left off as it was far better.
Amazing story but rushed last two episodes. I played this game last October or November. Thought it was one of the best visual novels out there in the harem style and its wonderful campy story. All sex was good and there was character development. Especially Naomi. But then they never released updates for so long and like two or three scenes each update instead of plenty like previously. Then the was the problem that there was no incest scenes yet except for that 3some with Belle and Emily. Older sister Emily was cliche asf. They needed the land lady and little sister. So after almost one year we get a rushed ending and (I haven't played 1.0) but like no penetration to the lil sis and land lady. The 2 most anticipated characters in the game? It's crazy they can carry on until 2.0. Where is the camping or the arrival MC's girlfriend. If this was a cinema thing, the game would have been bought out by better developers or producers instead. What a waste of a great original idea

I know right? People are interested in seeing more and more sex scenes of their favorite characters in the game. There is no need for a limit and no need for much creativity or good story telling. But instead there is only one sex scene with the Emily or the Land lady or at least Kiara. Incest and harem is the main fantasy which drives everyone here.

Now this is a bummer. I really liked this game, but after the last patch I was a bit weary since things were seemingly coming out of nowhere. And now the ending itself comes out of nowhere. I edited my review from 5 stars to 3, and all because of such poor handling of the story. As usual, the project flip flopped from one place to another and eventually a closure of sorts had to be made even if it didn't make sense or it destroyed part of what had been built up to there. This developer needs someone to write the plots from A to B to C to D.

I see someone giving you a facepalm but the problem is, you're right.
They took away the original story which was basically the central plot and they were left with ...... this.
It's amusing in a way, the dev butchered their plot to keep the vocal group playing except without the plot you can see the devs losing interest with every update until they finally had enough.
Back then the game had a ton of potential, now it's another cautionary tale to not let the fans have too much control.

You say it like the dev has no history of losing interest and ruining stories. If losing a single character and probably a single arc fucked their plot (and in the process his morale as you say)... well...

Well they'll never make as good a game as they did originally due to caring what the "fans" think of certain genres. During the NTR shaming period(probably still going on) they jumped from the original story to appease angry fans that only like the generic Harem style porn game. The mom fucking the dad literally makes sense...thats what a married couple would do. the dad fucking the other girls wouldnt be bad either as it would create a lot more sandbox events and make a "correct" playthrough for fans of NTR and harem style games and allow for it to be optional. most importantly, It could create a good story with legit twists and turns and keep players guessing whats gonna happen next. This game was a huge letdown and didnt need to be.

Whatever about the game IMO, Red Falls was SUCH a better name than "Helping the Hotties" lol. It's so cheap and plastic.
Funnily enough it was probably around that time that the game started the downhill trend, maybe.

I know some of the people here loved the story, but to me it fell far short of what someone should expect of developers of this caliber. I think they did the smartest business decision available to them and cut their losses. I'm rooting for them to make something better, with at least a semi-relatable MC.
Edit: and for god sakes, when are devs going to learn to stop catering to the very vocal minority...doing so almost always ends in disaster...case in point.
