Played a few missions, translation is MTL and messy, but legible.

It is pretty sub par in many ways, but not unplayable.

most of the scenes are static images with moderate variations.

question 1: how can I ignore tag?
question 2: can you make the website a bit more useful and helpful. other website I used. in their index always have titles and picture. wtf is this website only have text and the only way to know what the heck is to click on the link. Javascript is a little too crappy that the mouse have to stay for too long to have a quick view. Because it took too long so I prefer to click on the link and view it faster.

Is this a slightly newer version of sRPG studio? I have not seen even a single good game made by the older versions of it, but maybe they've upgraded it so there's more depth than '3-4 unit types with no special abilities'.

You can actually do a lot with SRPG studio if you get creative with events and/or extend it with your own javascript, but other games from this dev didn't seem to do anything too out of the box.

I think what you're trying to ask for is in the Latest Updates tab at the top of the website.

question 1: how can I ignore tag?

If you're using the Latest Updates page, there's a filter menu (icon shaped like a funnel), in that menu is a section to Exclude Tags, type the tag you don't want to see and select it from the drop-down that appears. You can select multiple this way, up to 10.

There is also a checkbox somewhere in tag search to ignore the tag, but unintuitively you have to be searching that tag to see the checkbox. Maybe someone who has used it before knows a better way?

question 2: can you make the website a bit more useful and helpful.

Non-constructive answer: why would you think I have any control over how useful this site is?
Constructive answer: As averon said above, the Latest Updates page is what you're looking for here. It has title, creator, preview images, and tags for games, and is sorted by the date of the most recent game update instead of the most recent reply. I can't imagine browsing for games using the forum interface, that sounds like a pain.

Honestly not really. I haven't played too many myself and none I have played have really stood out (in terms of gameplay).
I was basing my comment off of my knowledge of the engine itself, not its games.
But I'd be willing to bet that there are some pretty good doujin SRPG Studio games out there. Just probably not ones that would ever be translated. (The group "Shinjita Baka ga Ore Datta" has some that looked pretty interesting)
You'd have better luck checking in at the SRPG Studio discord maybe.

you probably need to start it with locale emulator or be in JP regional settings.
