That seems to be a screenshot from Chapter 1, back when the visual presentation was a little more experimental. Though it's important to note that most of the scenes in Chapter 1 do not look like that.

Hello peeps, how are you doing in this auspicious morning/afternoon/evening? You might not believe it, but I've got some more news to share about HC3.
So, hum... another week of work? Cyanna's scene is done, entirely tested, but not yet added to the reminiscence room. I've also done a pretty important story scene, and created an entirely new map for it, as you can see above. I wanted it to look nice and peaceful, so I used more more vibrant colors, especially for the grass and leaves.
After that, I've also added two really short freeroams (just an animation behind a window) for Cyanna and Lily, and I'm currently writing the extra scene for Cyanna and Ulrod (Cyanna's choosing a swimsuit, and Ulrod's helping). It's going to be a memory kind of scene, so it can happen during this update and you don't have to go back to the last update to see it. There's also an entirely new map that's been created for it.
Anyway, that's kind of where I am right now. The extra scene is a pretty complicated one, so it'll take some more time to complete it. Afterwards, there's one last Rose scene, so more story to accompany it, and that's it.
I know I said I would add freeroams once the MC's back in Luminia, but I'll probably add them next update instead, for several reasons: 1)That way, this update can come out faster, 2)Lily and Haylen each have 2-3 freeroams already. Well, not exactly freeroams, but close enough, with custom animations and all. 3)That'll be a way to get some Rose and Cyanna content into the next side-quest, since Haylen and Lily both got something during a main quest.
Anyway, I'll go rest a little now. I'm not feeling too well, and I've got a sore throat. Should be healed with some sleep though, so no worries there.

Well, this one has already been used as a placeholder in another update, so it's not much of a spoiler, but I liked Ulrod's angry stick figure face so I wanted to show it off. Kinda wondering why I hire artists when I could just go entirely with stick figures~

I found a buyer for my left kindey so i can afford to see Cyanna's upcoming extra scene, this is the least you could do for someone that's recovering after a serious surgery.

The multi-colored "glassy surface" background on this really fucked with my brain for the first few seconds that I spent looking at this preview, because it took me a few seconds to register that they are just stick figures... I got myself so excited that that it was showing some obscured view of Cyanna being pressed up against a steamy window.

Game doesn't exist only on paper, dev abandoned it years ago and then he came back a few months ago just to say that he's abandoning this poject and he's making a new game

Small correction that he's not abandoning Black Rune, but plans to rework it pretty significantly and scale it down from what he originally wanted it to look like because the development became such a sprawling mess. But before he actually does that, he wants to work on (and actually finish) a couple of much smaller NTR game projects this year so that he can eventually circle back to Black Rune with more experience under his belt. Assuming that it does eventually come out, though... I really would not expect it before 2027 at the earliest.

Hello everyone, how are you doing in this fine morning/afternoon/evening? I’ll keep this PoL short, because I want to go back to work ASAP^^
So, you know how last PoL I talked about having a sore throat, and how it would fix itself after a good night’s sleep? Well, it didn’t, and on the next day I felt so sick and exhausted I slept all throughout the day until 7pm. I’m a lot better now, but I didn’t get to work as much as I’d hoped.
That doesn’t mean I’ve been doing nothing. I’ve finished the extra scene, which was quite a pain in the ass, and by now it only needs a bit of testing and some extra animations. I’ve also finished the story segment before the last Rose scene. That means I still got one more scene and some more story afterwards before I can release the update.
Now, because of the past week’s delay, I’ve decided to free my schedule up so I can focus on working, and you have my word that, unless something unplanned comes up, I’ll have the new update out by the end of this week.
About Steam… Well, they’re still reviewing the game as we speak, but I think it’s looking good. I’ll probably be able to sell it there.
