Proof of Life #280: Some more Rose, because why not?


Hello peeps, how are you doing in this fine morning/afternoon/evening? I hope you won't mind some more maid Rose to kick off this PoL?
This post is coming out a bit later than usual because I've worked all evening on finishing the extra scene. The main part is Rose with Meredith, but there will be some stuff with other maids as well. It was quick technical to do as it was more of a patchwork of smaller scenes with a bigger one rather than one single scene.
I don't have much else to say for this PoL honestly. Now that the extra scene is finished (still need a few commissions done and test everything), that's a good chunk of the last segment of this update behind us. I still can't give a deadline for the release because I've got some story and one last Cyanna scene to do, and I'm not sure how long it's all going to take.
I did work hard last week, and I'm going to work hard again this week to bring you the update as fast as possible. The good thing is that the most part of a big irl project is now finished too. I've been dragging that thing for almost a year now, and it would see me moving to another continent before the end of the year if it all works out. For those who were already here last year, yes, it's Japan again.
Anyway, all of this to say that I now have more time to dedicate to the game, within reason. Oh, and this update will have 2 freeroam events (1 with Rose and 1 with Cyanna), since they already got some the last two updates. And one more Triple Trident opponent.

And that’s what’s so strange… none of those toys seem magical. They look like they’re made of plastic and run on batteries. I don’t know, maybe something magical should feel more… magical.
I guess the scientists of the time had their priorities straight.

Anachronism is a fairly regular occurrence in fantasy, but the HC games kinda approach it in a way that breaks my brain a bit. The existence of condoms alone indicates that somewhere on Nosra is a place that is far more advanced than the rest of the setting because it indicates knowledge of latex since they're clearly not made of lambskin or a similar product that would be more common for a fantasy setting like Nosra. The fact that Jazon clearly uses them as a single use and toss object similar to how we would in reality indicates the existence of a factory which in turn indicates industrialization as the only alternative would be that he's spending almost his entire paycheck on fucking Haylen as if there's no massive industrialization process then the time and artisanry necessary to make a condom would make them very expensive.

Magic may exist in the HC universe but it has yet to be shown in a way that indicates that A) humans can use it willy nilly, and B) that it can be used to just pop shit into existence. There's also street lamps, vibrators... but seemingly no engines or motors. Which leads my overactive brain to three possibilities. First, somewhere on Nosra is a nation that is roughly equivalent to the mid 20th century and it does not share instead of sharing that tech with the rest of the world they simply sell smaller pieces of it to make money because they know the rest of the world is a bunch of porn obsessed savages. Second, Nosra is a post-apocalypse and the sex toy and prophylactic industries were among the few to survive whatever destroyed civilization. Third, N_Taii just does not care about things like that and picks and chooses anachronistic objects that are useful to the story. The third one is actual truth as I brought this up previously and he said as much.

Let's see we take into account that we are in a fantasy world, so things like condoms can be made of monster parts such as slime or something similar, and aphrodisiacs of montruos or plants that release substances that cause exitation, now for vibrators they can be using charts with magic engravings that produce movement when the magical symbol of the engraving is activated or something like that, as for the lamps they use Magic engravings of light, or something like that, so the basic response is a world with magic The possibilities are endless in terms of how things work, but we should say that the one who sells them must be damn rich xD

Basically these "payment processors & card companies" mentioned above told Valve that they don't want people to buy the filth that is on Steam through their services, and said that either Valve removes these games from Steam, or they end the partnership and nobody will be able to purchase anything at all through these companies.
So for example if MasterCard's "standards" don't align with incest (which they obviously don't), then that means that from now on games with incest are banned from Steam, because Steam would rather lose porn games than MasterCard as a partner.

From what i've seen so far it's only been specific genres of adult content like Incest and Rape and not actually like EVERY adult game, but it's a slippery slope and i think that it's only a matter of time, but as long as the Sex With Hitler and the Sex With Stalin games are available...i'm okay with this.

I've been meaning to ask this as well but for one specific reason alone, i wanted to know if this affects the Revenge Ending or not, because last time i heard something about the Revenge Ending it was when N_taii mentioned that Patreon has changed it's rules to where even step-family porn is now considered as Incest, which then obviously fucked N_Taii's initial idea for the Revenge ending because both Haylen and Cyanna was going to end up as Leto's lovers in that, however i vaguely remember N_Taii also saying that he's got an idea for a potential loophole or whatever, but don't quote me on that cause my memory's iffy.
I was just curious whether N_taii is still looking for loopholes for a harem-like revenge ending or if he's given up on the idea because of the crackdown on incest from so many fronts.

True, that place is like the last thing that was not censored. Are we finally going to JP exclusive platform? I mean they don't care about degeneracy there, but on the other hand it's now hard for anyone that has no access to the platform's payment options.

Unfortunately not, as whether the culture cares or not it's the payment services that do. Steam isn't backing down here because they have to, Steam could have very easily said to Visa "No, we're going to keep the weird shit because it makes us money which makes you money, so sit down, shut the fuck up, and let these people have their weird shit." but to expedite the issue they backed down since they don't want to get dragged into a fight with Visa. Visa is not Japanese, and the head of Visa Japan who is not a Japanese person recently echoed the company line of "we don't want our brand associated with this filth". So unless something changes expect this kind of censorship and repression to be the norm going forward.
