Yes, but the last time there was a leak it had a severe impact on N_Taii's patreon income. I'm all for things leaking, but not for causing a 20% drop in the income of a creator.

Every leak makes a serious impact on creators, imagine how much money DPC would make if there was no other way to play Being a DIK other than paying for it on Patreon of Steam.
Probably no more or less than they already do. BAD is a project for suckers, you either have to be devoted to the developer or an absolute moron to support them on patreon. We're sitting at eight months since their last update, which itself was a Halloween themed update that released in December. BAD is a game that has critical mass, it's been going on for years, it is hugely popular, and it is available on a mass market storefront, it's not comparable to a smaller project like Henteria Chronicles. To even use it as an example is foolish. Due to the nature of what it is, it's going to attract a much larger following and it's the kind of project that will attract and chase away supporters in waves. It has nearly 13,000 supporters subbed to its patreon at this exact moment, if every single one is paying the lowest subscription then they're making over $25,000 CAD a month. The actual number is definitely higher and it will fluctuate up and down depending on when the release is due or how long ago the last one happened.
DPC wouldn't necessarily do any better than it already does if the updates didn't instantly leak by pure virtue of the fact that critical mass is a thing. It's a huge project, with a huge following, Henteria Chronicles is a small project, with a small following, and leaks hurt it far more than something like BAD. It's not a fair, accurate, or logical comparison.
Well, update 7 is straight rich in events. Can't wait 8. Cyana is gorgeous in her new dress! And most likely in the 8th update there will certainly be sexual events, considering that Author san said that this is massive. Patreon guys, please don't spoil! $5 is not a problem for me, but Patreon is blocked in my country.
Old saves work? I will wait until the game it's completed and I have a save of the 0.5v I think

They do indeed, but even if your save file gets lost at some point for whatever reason there is a folder called "Saves Provided" in which there are multiple, as the name suggests, saved files for you to choose from, there is 1 added for each Update so there's one for Update5 as well.
It had already taken a while to leak the update.... For a moment I thought that everything had already been solved and that it is not leaked anymore, I hope that the leaks do not generate such a big loss.
Please guys, I know that for some people because of their economic situation paying 5$ per month is difficult or that in their country Patreon is blocked, but I think it is not necessary to leak the game because N_taii puts the game for free download one month after each update.

i dont think its even leaked tbh, the download links(which are two) both are ass and you probably need to buy the premium on their services to download, rather give the money to n_taii
There is also a waiting role. I understand, but not everyone who can't pay up front can wait until the end of the month to play. Now, if public updates were released around the 20th, and not by the end of the month, it would be great, and no one would be piracy.
There is no exact date yet, Due to a break that N_taii is going to take during september because of his move to Japan, he took the decision to instead of doing a small update, do a slightly bigger one that will cover the July and August update at the same time.
But most likely the update will be released at the end of August, after the 20th most likely.
That doesn't make sense. Even if the public was released on the 20th that wouldn't end piracy. Someone would then just use some other nonsense reasoning to release it earlier.
Personally my view on the release system is that public releases should not be a full month behind the lowest tiered release. I can't claim to know what effect it would have on subscription numbers but I'd probably put the public release two weeks after the $5 tier. That way you're still giving subscribers a reason to feel like they're subbing for a reason, but the public release is still available without too large of a wait. It would also discourage some people, but not all of course, who might leak the updates. Honestly, it feels like the ones that have the larger gaps between patreon and public releases that suffer the most when a leak happens. Turning the Page, an NTR themed visual novel, is another patreon project that I know has suffered on months where someone leaks the patreon update early. The dev actually posted in the game thread recently saying that ten days was how long it took the leak last time and that seems to be the sweet spot for damage to their patreon numbers in terms. That leads me to believe that an earlier public release could be figured out that would cause fewer supporters to drop out but also potentially bring new supporters in due to more people being able to play the game more quickly.
N_Taii engages with his support base pretty well, so more public players could be a good thing for his numbers, I'd also like to a see a discord server.
On that note... any of y'all artistic? Might not be a bad idea to whip up some signatures so we can "advertise" for lack of a better term.

I agree when you say that the free version should be released about two to three weeks after the $5 version on Patreon, partly because I can understand that many are desperate to play more updates as a month is quite a long time.
It is true that N_taii interacts a lot with his followers who can not support him, show a button, he himself is here constantly reviewing the thread and answering questions; so it would not be a bad idea to decrease the waiting time for the free version as this way you keep happy that part of the public, attract more new players to try the free version and decide whether to support or not; and above all still maintains the exclusivity of those who pay to have the game. Maybe it can even help to keep the game from leaking.
A Discord sounds good, so there could be a little more direct interaction with N_taii, but it would also be a somewhat difficult server to run so N_taii will need administrators immediately to help him. And we don't know if he has enough time to dedicate to Discord either.

Is a discord server that hard to manage? i hardly use discord so i dont know the gist of managing one nor care, but if the server isn't huge the maintenance shouldn't be that bad, no?
Releasing the public earlier wouldn't stop people from leaking it even earlier. No matter what everyone, including those that pay, will always have to wait a month between releases. You can pay the highest tier support, you'll still have to wait another month to play the next release. You can pay the second highest tier, and your still going to wait a month between releases. N_Taii could change the public to 2 weeks after the 5$ tier, you're still going to wait a month. With the only major difference here being that those that wait for the public don't have to pay for their release.
There's no actual longer stretch of time. The only increase in time between releases would be due to delays for unforseen circumstances or increase in workload. Lets say if the public was released a week after the 5$ tier. What's to stop someone from moving the goalpost and saying N_Taii could find a sweet spot for damage control by moveing up the public even earlier. Nothing. Hell what's to stop someone from using that thought process and leaking it even earlier. Nothing. People feel entitled to getting things for free and immediately. So releasing the public earlier wouldn't stop these demands to have it. Someone will always come along to justify leaking something. Even when they still get it for free.
It's not that it's complicated, but it is something that requires you to dedicate some time every day. You have to make sure that all users respect the rules, take care of user reports, make sure that the server is not filled with spam, that everything stays in its own channel, add the bots, I think you must have Nitro to access certain functions, etc.
I am an administrator in some Discord servers, and although they are small and the tasks do not seem so complicated, believe me that many times it is an annoying job that you have to do at least 2 times a day if you want to keep the server clean.
