I have upped the number of saves from 100 t0 130. I'm afraid of adding any more than that, for fear of breaking the game(RPGMaker games originally only have 10 or so, so we're over 10 times that amount now)

When I was in uni, I got the opprtunity to go on a one-year exchange thrice, twice in Japan and once in China. All were student visas. This time, it's a visa called working-holiday, which grants me the opportunity to stay in the country for one year, with less restrictions than the student one. Maybe you could qualify for it too, as long as there's some kind of agreement between your country and Japan.

That is pretty cool actually. I think uni is my best chance, maybe during my masters degree. I also heard tho that there is the possibility for becoming a limited-time foreign language teacher (esp. English) for 5 years.

Hmmm, the idea behind the orbs was really to give a small hint when there were freeroam events to be seen, and as an extra, where players could find them if they clicked on the orbs, while still leaving some mystery. I don't really want to overload them with info, and I'm not sure adding more visual cues in a room that's already crowded with text and stuff, etc... would be a good idea in the first place. That might change in the future though, if I find there's a whole lot of people who want that.
In the meanwhile, you could take a look at the end of the walkthrough. There's an extensive list that tells you where to find the events, at what time, and under what conditions. It'll be easy to figure out what's new so you can go check it out and not waste time checking the same event several times in a row.
(I could, however, add a number 1,2,3... to the text that shows up after clicking on the orb. That way, if the number changes, you'll be able to tell there's a new event.)

If it makes you feel any better the $20 version isn't really worth getting over the basic one, and I say that as someone subbed to the $20 release. The extra scenes are largely extraneous and not worth not playing the game over so you might as well just download the current version available here on F95. If and when you decide to sub to the $20 tier when subs reopen there should be a save with them available for viewing with the download of the latest update so long as you download the $20 version.

That said this version does have a bug that bars completion of the most recent update since it's an old version that was leaked.

That happened to me as well, it was when i played the $20 version of Update 7 for the first time about a month ago, when i realised i quickly closed the game and searched what this Hello Charlotte actually is on steam xd. After that i tried again playing HC while discord was running but it was working properly this time and it showed nothing so i guess the issue got resolved on it's own.

I think this can't be a coincidence. This has to be a cheeky reference done by the dev. Game looks like one of those niche cult games.

N_Taii is currently on a break due to moving to Glorious Nippon. He's said that he'll be doing some work this month but not full time as he's paused his patreon billing for the month. Work on HC3 will resume in October targeting a November release for the next update which will focus on Haylen and Lily.

I'm on a break until the beginning of October, and then I'll resume work on the game. The next update, if everything works well and I settle fine in my new apartment here in Japan, should be out in early November : )
