I mean, I wouldn't call the artwork for the female characters awful. They're slowly giving the main characters more detailed portraits. That said the men are definitely just absolutely sinfully ugly, they took the ugly bastard shtick way too far.

Just a heads-up: if you want to access the new side-quests, for this update in particular things will be slightly different. All you have to do is be on the main map on Lundath morning, and if all the pre-requirements have been fulfilled, they'll activate on their own.
Starting from Update 10, they'll be added in the game in a more organical manner.

There is no way to avoid the NTR in the game. You can either decide to see the scenes even if the MC isn't present or keep them hidden, that's it.
