I wouldn't count on it considering we just learned that Rose's parents are still alive. Using the same plot twist twice in one game seems like a bit much. The only way I could foresee them being alive is if they're in some kind of horrifying undead state due to the artifact their boat was carrying.

I agree, but there is a possibility that at least Selen, or one of Leto's parents, survived. If it is to increase Leto's mental corruption, they could make it so that either Leto's mother or Selen survived, or both, and are being used as whores by the pirates.
