totaly new here and i do plan to play the 3 chaps in order , is the " 6.20 ver fix2 '' on the 1st OP post ( first page that was last updated in 2023 ) is that the latest version of chapter 1 ? ty
Well, I believe this is the first time I've ever posted on this website, and it's because I genuinely couldn't get this game out of my mind. I really enjoyed it. It was certainly not without its bugs or flaws, and I think we all understand it was old and not as refined as its successors. I haven't played the other two sequels because I don't know if I can stomach more of this stuff. It's like chugging a bottle of tequila...great night, never again. That being said, I was first introduced to these types of RPGs a year ago through Dark/Thug Hero Party, which left me with crippling depression for a week. So I did get around to playing more than one of this genre, even if one was more than enough the first time.
Both this and that were great stories that I don't think will leave me. So...if no one will mind, I'm just going to rant and offload my thoughts here. To put it simply, I can't exactly vent and analyze this game/story to my friends and family irl haha
To begin with, this story already contains two tropes that I find really appealing, the first being a busty older woman, and the second being a "lady and her knight/servant" romance. Sadly, there isn't really any anime-like CGs or fanart of these characters, but no worries there, if this had been a simple book, I'd have to use my imagination anyway. I'm glad that this game goes with sprite-based sex scenes, as I generally enjoy those more than the still-frame CGs rpg maker games tend to always go with. The scenario writing, as well, is pretty hot when it's time for sexy stuff, and was enchanting in a way when it came to everything else...as in, I'd be 1000% fine if there was just good old slice of life for hours with the found family of this manor. I guess I just bought into the story early on and found everyone charming during the intro and first part. Worldbuilding was pretty cool too.
As for critiques...there was one bug that showed up right at the start which threw me off, where the non-NTR ending's Eleanora was in her bedroom at the very start of the game, talking about the plushies and then wanting to meet at the pond. She was always there even if another Eleanora was in the room for another scene in the mornings. Nearly soft-locked me out of the ending, though I think it could've been solved by just going around and doing other character scenes and progressing, as her dialogue was already done...idk, I found another person's save and played from there. Had a bug with Fayne and Theas as well, when he tries to show off to her and his sprite is bumped back, he just disappeared (solved by avoiding the event). I didn't really care too much for the Fayne plotline myself so I won't mention it much, though I do think it was a good parallel and prelude for the main plot and had some good moments of writing.

To start with, one big downside to this game is that the endings have decent content but comes off as rushed. I've noticed, time and time again with many stories, that writers tend to rush their endings for various reasons while at the same time, readers who enjoy the work generally want to stick around a little longer. Readers, viewers, players, etc...they always talk about the ending more than anything. Yeah, the main course is the NTR, which we get in the middle acts, but if we're just talking story, I think a well-executed exploration of the aftermath is what the human mind desires. Sadly, there was a lot of stuff that wasn't present in these endings, where if it had been included, would've enhanced them a lot. Doesn't mean I don't like 'em or think they aren't good writing. I was just frustrated, knowing it's the last time I'll ever see these characters, whose presence in my mind I truly enjoyed. Most h-games, I couldn't care less and am waiting for the fap moments, but it really wasn't the case in this story...I wanted to be around the characters more.

To the dev, my criticisms weren't to demand changes or anything, just theory crafting around a story I already enjoyed. Thanks for making it. I don't know if I have the stomach for the other two sequels yet lol
