Wasn't sure whether to ask this here or in the HC2 section but here will do I guess.
N_taii Since the second game is nearly done I have wondered is there anything looking back at HC1 you'd want to do differently with the benefit of hindsight?
Overall, I don't think I would change much of the story, more like technical stuff and details.
I probably wouldn't focus so much on having one mini-game for every update, I would add a skip option for all of them, look more into plug-ins to improve the UI before launching the game, code in a more understandable manner (it was a real mess when I first started developing the game, and I was so unorganized that lots of bugs popped here and there).
Quite frankly I think the story was fine in terms of length, complexity and amount of characters. I'm not saying it was good, that's not for me to judge, but it wasn't too overwhelming for me when developing my first game, yet remained challenging enough. Still, I'd probably change the woodcutters side-story a little bit to make them more involved with the MC.
As for the sex scenes, I don't remember all of them, but if I were to watch them now, I'd most likely want to change lots of dialogues and edit some of the animations^^
Besides, there's a lot of things I could have commissioned to improve the quality, but I didn't have the funds I have right now, so I guess I did well enough with what I had : )
