I restarted the game and it works now, I think that's because I started with release version without bugfixes then applied bugfixes afterwards.

it might be because not every pile gives you metal sometimes you click 4 of them and there's no metal it's kinda grindy. the later sections aren't so bad though.

Do i need to complete a mission to unlock the training room? I can't find it, so im guessing its the door blocked by a guard

No, it wasn't giving me anything, no item of any kind, no scrap, and no metal.
And they were all like that.
The release version was just fucked, and even if you patched it, if you used a save from release you'd get that problem, I think.

The initial version only had a bug with the item icons not displaying correctly; it didn’t mean that no items were obtained at all. Additionally, the chance to get steel was 40%, so if luck was particularly bad, it was possible to end up with nothing. In the latest patch, I’ve increased the amount of items that can be acquired.

Nothing progresses and I can't do quests since she is always in that room.

In one part of the game Mie disappears from my map. Is this normal or a bug? (I transferred my saves from the demo to the new version)
