I think it's safe to wait one week for bugfixes and playtest from others as usual. Restart from scratch will just burn out your desire to play.

Havent played the update yet but I am going off what dev said. He was planning to do some bugfixes, art touch ups and I think some DLC scenes. I am not sure if these were all planned together or he is doing a few updates.
