For in-game advice:
-Play safe, take no major risks. Stay at top Stamina as much as possible during the beginning of each fight (as you deal the most damage at top stamina), and use Heavy Blow for the most part. Only rush the fight to finish it if you're sure you're about to finish it in a few more hits (to save yourself the growing addictions or damage taken), if that is the last fight of the day, or if you're about to lose (better to try for a desperation tactic than simply lose).\
-On that note, don't lose Fights (as the detriments can stack up fast). If you start losing Fights, you can continue the Run, just keep in mind that the Run won't really be Winning-viable by that point.
-Keep your stats (Addictions, Corruption) in check. Keep in mind that you get Guaranteed Lab Events (Per Day: first one after finishing 2 Normal Fights, on the Next Explore; 2nd one after just one more fight, and so on), so if you know next Explore is going to be a Lab Event, go for it, even if you're not healed on stats.
-Make sure to Rest as needed, prioritizing refilling stamina (you should rush down the end of fights, leaving you around 40-60 Stamina), but taking care about Health and Lust when they are critical (especially before harder fights or Boss Fights).
-Keep in mind the Backpack and Maps costs (to round up just enough money for them). Maps costs drop each day by one, but you should rush to at least a Tier 2 Map (Lakeside/Deep Forest), as the combat rewards in them are more sustainable than the Tier 1 Maps (the basic ones you get for free).
-Each area, after a certain Day, will get its Boss Fight (at given points during the Day, you'll get text blurbs in Base about the Area in which a Boss is currently waiting). Don't engage those fights unless prepared (they are obviously harder than the normal fights of their areas). Having more maps allows you to Explore other areas while some are "blocked" for periods of the day by their Boss Fights. Keep in mind, the Lab Event does not have priority over Boss Fights (meaning that, if you go face a Boss Fight when you should get a Lab Event, you'll still get the Boss Fight; The Lab Event will then happen as your next Normal Explore).
- For City's Shop, keep in mind that Potions in the shop (the ones instantly used there, Red and Purple) don't give the downsides that their version obtainable from Lab Event would. Their price will increase with each subsequent purchase for each.
- For City's Church, keep in mind to not enter it to many times in a run. The 6th time entered will send you to the Church Locked side-event, that also takes away your current Gold (to pay the debt; also can lead to a Bad End if you're not careful). Only use the Church sparingly, with a lot of money, to curb down on specific Addictions that grow out of control (keep them generally equal and use Blue Potions to lower them at once).
- For City's random event with the "Lust Lowering", when they kidnap you.... Refuse. It's a trap. It will temporarily help with Corruption reduction, but will then add a hidden debuff to you, each new day making you lose Multiplicatively more Max Lust until you visit them again, which will only reset the debuff, not remove it. The 3rd time you go to them (or 2nd time you willingly visit them from the City Menu) will lead to a bad end. Only really usable if you're at the end of a Run, or about to enter the Castle (on a Winning Run) and are desperate for a free Corruption Reduction (and don't plan on further prolonging the Run after beating the Castle)
-For Meta-progression, prioritize the Stats upgrading. The items you'll have to buy each time (they don't stick between runs). When you get more points, or when you want to try for a Winning Run, you can buy some Gold to get you the Backpack early in the run (it's better to spend the Points on the Gold amount for a backpack (30), than getting the backpack directly from the Meta Menu.
- When you're prepared to go for a Winning Run (have made the proper Meta Upgrades, or simply got lucky with a Legendary Drop during the Run), you will need to buy all the Maps in the Shop progressively, and defeat each Boss. The Dark Woods boss is unique, first you'll get a "Ghost" event with only question marks, that will show the Sillouette (and then the Narrator comments the Name) of a girl from a Normal Fight in the other Areas. You'll have to track her down (use the Codex to see when is she more likely to appear, and be careful to not waste those times with Lab Events), and beat her "more powerful" version (not by that much). Then, return to the Dark Woods with the Old Talisman, until you get the Locked Cabin, and proceed to the Dark Woods boss. Assuming you won, and all the other Bosses have been beaten, you'll unlock the final location, Castle. You can only visit it Once per Run, and only before the 15th day of said Run. It is a sequence of Boss Fights, all keeping you Restraint (cannot Escape), but get a brief moment in between each Fight to heal (with Green and Orange potions from your Consumables). For this, buy some such potions from the Shops. The early Boss Fights will be the Boss Fights you already faced in your run, while the latter Boss Fights are unique to the Castle. I'll let you fight them from here, but just keep in mind, hit Gabby (the Healer) to defeat her first, only choose Abby when she "Prepares something". Should be fine from here.
For Cheating:
I'm still working on making a more easily-usable Cheating Guide for the game (it will be part of this week's Review post on my blog), but it's all inspired and modified from an user's post on this Thread a while ago,
Link here to It. You can do it from either Chrome or Firefox browser, but, as said in that post, you need to find the JS Console first (F12 in Firefox, on of those Tabs), and switch the "Top" dropdown option to "EOS" to be able to use said Console Commands as cheats. Also, per each Page load, you'll have to use the first Command example from that post, to "hook" the Interpreter to the Page. Do that after each fresh refresh of the Page, but before clicking the initial "Start" button.
I'll get into more detail on this later, as promised, when I also finish the Review for the game, so if things currently look too complicated on the Commands side, and you still have issues completing the game cheatless, hang on, I'll make an easier-to-follow Command Guide soon.
GL in the meanwhile tho
