Ren'Py - Hero Party Must Fall [v0.5.4 Bugfix 1] [Nitrolith]

This one's an absolute gem. The strength of the writing carries it over it's many deficiencies. Yes, the art is workmanlike. Some aspects like Dungeon raids don't work at all. Yes, there's a grind involved. Even with all that, you'll find the dialogue after every mini event highly engaging. The game tells a netori story to perfection and the corruption(literal as well as figurative) is intriguing to follow through. The primary LIs are part of a clichéd band of heroes yet still, their characterisation is distinct and well thought out. Even our hapless victim is written as the sort of sorry fella who's too far up his own asshole that you won't feel bad stealing his girls. The main character Mars isn't one note like many MCs and seem to be genuinely figuring his emotions out about the ordeal passed on to him.

Overall, for a new dev team, this is an incredible debut. Can't wait for more.
Edit: One suggestion for the future even though the dev has hinted at this for the future: emphasize the corruption aspect more by having the girls change their behavior, clothes, and personal grooming habits. Body mod options would be cool to have.

Even in its early state, this is an absolute gem. The writing and overall concept are some of the best I've experienced and the art has really grown on me. The unique corruption angle this game takes on is insanely good, the last few updates have gone in a wonderful direction imo, loving it!

Sure it's not perfect yet but there's fair warning for that, and what's there is pure gold. Wishing the devs the absolute best of luck with this game, and am really excited to see it develop. I'd love to see it do well for itself!

fucking top notch game. game play is the roughest atm as its mostly a number go up and enjoy the view style. Dev has obviously stated their intentions to add to it down the line. Right now the greatest aspect is by far the art and story. Nitro's understanding of characterization and compelling naratives. the corruption actually makes sense and the seduction is perfectly written. art only gets better and better also.

Incredible game with lots of potential. A story that takes itself seriously with characters actually having personalities and relatable thoughts. The animation's fluidity and the way messiness is shown is the best I have ever seen in any 2d game so far.
The character design of the female cast is also fantastic, hopefully there will be more body-types in the future.
The art is fantastic with great details and shades all enhancing various body-parts and fluids, which add lots of flavour for the scenes themselves.
The only real negatives were sometimes annoying to find events not triggering and no way to lose curse faster, forcing me to grind and skip a lot. Another small nitpick, which might be a fault of RenPy itself is that I can't load back into saves after specific triggers have happened (automatic saves), which caused me a lot of headache when trying to find where my save broke and where it didn't. Ultimately I found a save online to skip certain parts to continue the story. Another issue for me is a lack of control for certain animations as I had to hold down the mouse button and drag it to keep certain actions going, perhaps I missed something but that's how I dealt with it. Also sometimes the animations would spaz out, doing the loops 5 times in the span of a second so I had to change the options just to make it reset (might have been an issue with Cecille specifically as only her animations had it happen, the part where she is teasing/grinding on top while squatting specifically).
Story-wise I really enjoy how the characters unravel like layers from an onion, showing depth and emotions rarely seen in many h-games, which also greatly enhances the h-nature of the game for me personally. I also found it satisfying to have a character in an abusive situation actually caring about the other person and having boundaries they actually respect and havings feelings for their partner, rather than being remorseless and doing things without any thoughts about the consequences of their actions.
My hope is that in the future the quality will be as good or even better and should this game be complete and I believe this has the potential to be a masterpiece in its class. With more voice-acting it would raise the quality another notch higher as well, albeit it's unnecessary if it can't be done well enough as it is fine as it is. Lastly I would really like to have an option to unlock all scenes/animations gallery, mostly because I couldn't access all content when locked in a certain scenario. and playing through the long story and grinding via skipping is tedious.
As it is I am most interested about Sera and Mars' storyline even though the game is linear and you can't really choose one path specifically.

v0.2.6

Easily one of my new favorite games on the site. The writing is amazing, the sex scenes are extremely well-executed, and the art style is simple yet endearing.

As it is still in-development, however, there's a few things that should be noted.
1. It's a bit of a grind
- Personally, I'm not one to complain about grinding, but having to skip through the days to see a new scene got old quickly and messed with the "erotic flow" of the story.
2. Somewhat misleading tags
- I went into this game expecting to see some trap content, as the tags stated. The hero is definitely feminine, but there's not really any trap content as v0.2.6. I'm definitely planning on returning when it's added though.
3. Linear routes
- The story itself is extremely linear. I'm not too interested in the Demon Queen (compared to some of the other characters, Vi especially), so being forced to interact with her to progress the story wasn't great. As I mentioned above however, the writing is great, so it wasn't too much of an issue.

In short, I can't wait for the next update!

EDIT (v0.4.7):
The game has only improved. I genuinely think this is one of the best games on the site. The dungeon is still a bit useless, but the worldbuilding is great. If you're looking for a strictly porn game, look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a good game in general this is it. Overall I'd rate it around 4.7

Absolute fantastic game! The history is really well made! I started play this game with low expectation, but it showed one of the best games i've ever played! can't wait to see more history and the development of characters

tl;dr recommended

You know a game has good writing when even with all the superficial pornographic BS games offer, there are still parts where one can genuinely relate to. This game has it sometimes.

Otherwise, i like the art and the characters and weirdly the woman is this game have the most character depth
But the MC? Even the hero while beeing cucked all over the place isnt as pale as the MC. Hes just... i dont know... kind of boring.

Besides this there are two parts i dont like:
1. Its to "grindy" in the way that you have to do every day more or less the same actions till you get your curse bar full and even after this, you need several day more because there are a shit ton of eventlike sequences after every day wich are good nad all BUT its just tedious without a skip button for the training progress.

2. and thats my personal prefference -> 2 girls got a curse but you can only see it in the character overview. Would be a lot hotter if you would actually see its progress on the body while playing.

Great game, you are the one who cucks. Writing is kinda cringe and the game can get boring if u play in long sessions, but the art and animations are quite good, really impressive for a new developer.

The description/ summary really doesn't do the game justice imo, you are not some sadistic asshole (well yeah, you kinda are) destroying some wholesome 100 party, these characters and the interactions you have with these girls have some depth to them. Don't want to go into exact details here but after finsihing all of the current content I'm getting some "you are the actual good guy" vibes here which I really like

Some people have complained about the art and honestly I'm not seeing it, think it looks grand and the fact that a lot of it is animated is a huge plus.

I don't like all the fetish stuff in here (milking/ cum drinking) but not gonna hold it against the game, some folks are sure to be into that stuff

Looking forward to finally being able to dick down the two party member girls, keep up the good work

Reviewing 0.2.6:

A pretty incredible find. I avoided this game for a while due to the off-putting art, but I was foolish to do so. The game is great, and while the art is hit and miss (I cannot lie, some of it is quite unpolished and bad) generally speaking the quality of the presentation is actually one of the best aspects of this game, with beautiful animations and a very 'soft' and organic way that the artist draws women (in contrast to the immovable bolt-on tits many other h-game artists tend to draw).

Combined with the strong writing, heavy focus on the mentality of the characters, the slow-burn corruption aspect and most important the effort and care that the game creator has given to making the character feel 'alive' - i.e. flawed and warped in their own ways, with very distinct personalities that make them feel so much more developed than the average HRPG fare.

tl;dr this game is great, go and play it if you like corruption/NTR or just beautiful animations in games. I've given it a conditional 4/5 rating, but really this rating only reflects the unpolished and incomplete nature of this game at the time of reviewing it. When this game is done I think it should easily qualify to be a 5/5.

A great game, one of the best I've played.

Positive:
- Plot and script - 9/10. One of the few games that is really fun to play and read dialogues.
- Corruption - 10/10. Seduction is spelled out perfectly, not too fast, but not too slow either.
- Art style - 8/10. The drawing is good, really lewd.
- Sex scenes - 7/10. In general, they are interesting and good, but after a while I get tired of looking at them, I want to skip in order to move the plot further.
- Soundtrack - 8/10. Surprisingly very interesting and pleasant music.

Minuses:
- There are few options for interaction. It is clear that the game is in development, but it would be great to add several different options to spend a game day, it is possible to introduce new characters with whom you can immediately interact.

Overall - 9/10.

Most games on this site have acceptable at best writing, but I actually bothered to read the text and even chuckled a bit during character interactions.
My only complaint with the game is the lack of things to do, which will likely be fixed as the game is updated, I don't write reviews for porn games, but the writing has earned it.

I never think I will get netori masterpiece. Good story and gameplay . I really love milking scene lol.
Just be honest I really hope if not make priestess breast too big in the future.
For the future development I advice that the MC get more power to defeat demon king or hero after they fight each other (?) IDK just advice. I really get vibe that MC has mysterious power and will get help for the mother demon

It's honestly too good. A god-tier game with amazing art, a good story, and leaves you wanting more. The characters actually feel like actual people, well, hentai-logic aside. Definitely worth playing.

Honestly an amazing trainer, game the progression of both available characters as of now seems pretty solid, the art style and quality is amazing and the animations are top tier.

Only real criticism as of now is the dungeon, which is seemingly still pretty early in development, even with the planned features it still feels like it'll be pretty unimportant overall which I feel just makes it a bit of a waste.

So basically, if you want to play a game, this game sucks. Its gameplay 'loop' is just repeatedly skipping 2/3 phazes, clicking a girl twice, then going afk until she cums or holding m1 until its faster for a scene. The scene won't be as sexual as what you went afk over, generally. Its incredibly repetitive. You pick a general tab for sex acts, then the actual act under that, then 'q' or 'h'. For 3 animations per position (including not holding m1).
The animations themselves aren't really very hot either. Looping animations that lack like 57 out of 50 frames. They show multiple angles of the girls, which is nice, but just serves to draw attention to how much worse the sprite animation is than the rest of the art.
And speaking of the rest of the art, its inconsistent. In one scene you have a girl lick your foot: your foot is larger than her entire head, about the size of her torso. Did the mc become an ogre in this scene? He's not that big. His dick size and shape also changes completely at random.

So why is it 3 stars?
3 reasons.
1: The gameplay loop, while boring, is completely trivial. You can do it all with just the mouse, its fast, there's little menuing involved, it just takes too long for how much of the content is doing the same shit.
2: The art. Its good. Its lacking in some ways, as noted, but that wouldn't be so noticeable if the game wasn't repeating it so much.
3: Primarily this. The writing.

Its an NTR game, but the cucker really isn't very mean about it. Its just a thing he does. He even feels bad for the hero, questioning what turned him into such a prick.
He's consistently patient with the girls no matter how bitchy.
And they are very bitchy. But justifiably so. One was spoiled and is used to it, the other has issues to work past. You work past them with them. Patiently.

The mc is the main appeal of this game. He's an interesting, extremely likeable, patient guy, who doesn't even seem very happy with his position here, but does it anyways while always still feeling like an actual person, not a fat old man/faceless dude with a 50 foot magical supercum dick.

I will say I found the second chick's story and character much better than the first. A lot more interesting, a lot more justified in her attitude. First girl is just kind of a massive bitch for very little reason beyond being used to getting away with it.

The dungeon gameplay is fucking terrible, but the dev made it skippable. So skip it. Ideally the actual fucking should be skippable, too. Its not varied enough to want to do it so much.

This is an embodiment of netori. The dialogs are so well written, great artwork and pace. 10 out of 5
You can see that the game still in an early stage, but if author keep updating the game, it would be one of the best VN out there.

This is one of the best game I have played. Haven't ever dwell deep into the actual story content this far. The journey by far was fascinating.
Story:
The story I played was not long but very entertaining and interesting. Instead of an average porn game story, this one actually gives out Japanese light novel vibes. More than that, the story actually look into quite controversial topics like putting a deeper thinking of race conflicts, equality and romantic view of people from different traumatize background. In short it was worthwhile.
Gameplay:
The gameplay by far was quite plain, it is like an alpha version of the game NTRLegend, which is a mini game with freedom to choose what position to satisfy the partner. Some new position unlocks alongside the story progress, in which makes logical sense. I would look forward to few more updates down the line that we can get more on the minigames as well as the emotion during the night training can have actual effect(in the stats like extra affection when happy)
Art:
This is the very best i found in this game. This game is in pixel art yet it can bring out the tone of the scene, quite a good use of lighting. Cecile's design is very awesome and hot, can't wait to see more outfits for her. Really want to let the dev know this piece of art is very awesome. As for Sera, she was very hot too (SPOILER ALERT)The way she look submissive and yet holding herself from ecstasy was great, can really feel that. It was very great, hope to see more of these kind of art.
Other:
game size is small and the game runs very smooth. Some suggestion here is to add a gallery for all the hot scenes, or maybe some function to see the stats. Maybe some more interaction with the characters will be awesome.

Overall:
This is an unforgettable experience. This game was totally my type, huge thanks to the devs for making this game. Absolute chad, great artists.
