Ren'Py - Hero Party Must Fall [v0.5.6 Test 2] [Nitrolith]

Truth be told, this is the best fucking Netori AVN period. Might not make a difference considering how rare netori AVNs are, but this shit is gourmet. I love the characters, the way the story is written, and it keeps me craving for more.

Mars is quite pleasant to play as, and the situations he and his cohorts orchestrate is marvelous. In my opinion, it'd be better if he was an absolutely irredeemable scumbag who found it joyous to play around with his companions' emotions, but the route the writer is taking him isn't necessarily something I'm against. I just prefer evil bastard Protagonists.

As for the girls, I'd prefer to not spoil anything due to their continuous transformations as they uncover more about themselves that they never knew, but the doubts and fears they experience as they go about their ordeals and how headstrong they are in their own ways is quite endearing.

The writing in this game is imo, on the level of Pale Carnations. The dialogue is fun, the creator understands both dirty talk and pillow talk, and the gradual build up is very enjoyable.

The POVs from the Hero are pleasant, since it allows the reader to truly understand the gravitas of what they're putting the Hero through, and it's fucking hot.

PS. You owe it to yourself to play this. Even if it's incomplete, I hunger for the continuation of the game, turning the Hero, and certain other impotent males into your bitch is quite an appealing idea, and I highly look forward to what Nitrolith has in store for the game.

a 5/5 game though it plays more like a visual novel since you won't get too much out of it if you don't read.

I quite like how the characters were written and the plot too. They don't feel like cardboard cutouts and even when the women completely fall, they don't completely lose their personality either. You might even end up wishing that none of this happened and that there is an alt world where everyone all got along.

The only thing I disliked was the Erin POV stuff. Someone into netori games probably wouldn't be into watching sex scenes from the perspective of the cuck. I found myself skimming some parts.

I played this quite a while ago and the updates went hard.

I've not fully caught-up/"finished" this yet (though I've gotten a couple of messages about finishing some side girls' content), but wanted to write a review before I forget.

So I'm not someone who usually enjoys "trainer" style games. In fact, I tend to prefer my porn games very, very light on the "game" aspect at all. I picked up this game based on a recommendation for sub/dom themes without checking the tags at all, and so, I was more than a little apprehensive when I reached the first night scene. I shouldn't have been.

This game is exceptional. Any misgivings I could have had about the gameplay are off-set by the artwork. This game's visuals are hot in a way rarely managed by the best AVNs, and take an activity I usually don't enjoy and made me finally understand the appeal.

If all the characters, guys and gals alike, being a delight for the eyes wasn't already enough, the interactions between them all seal the deal: the corruption (or just the unveiling of what was already there), the submissive displays, the jealousy and NTR, the guilt and shame, all of it, is perfect.

The side girls are all very cute too, though in an ideal world we'd have a million more events with them all.

WOW... And this game was made in renpy? 100/10.

Man, for me, perfect game! Despite being Netori, the netorare (cuckoldry) was well-worked too. Not only do you have the perspective of the MC (you, the wife-eater), but you also have the cuckold's pov during the development of the plot. The game's animation has a pixelation style that lately has been attracting me more and more, along with well-developed and animated sex scenes (man... how good it is to see a twerk in hentai HAHA).

Well, I'm not very strict in criticizing negative points.
So I'm not going to do a dissertation on. It's more like, points I wish the game had. For example: I think there should be more SFX in the game. The scenes they have, for the most part, are during the mini game. I know this question is complicated, but it is something that gives life to the game. Another, I think it was supposed to be essential, in scenes *pov cuckold* the presence of bed squeaking sounds. Or in strong sex scenes. It's a factor ignored by even the big animation industry as well. Most doujins have *creak *squaky, many of which have already been adapted, but which you hardly notice during hentai or don't even have it, despite the doujin expressing it very well with onomatopoeia. Another thing, regarding the #trap tag. I know that many people don't like it, and even think it's gay (although I don't see it that way. and I'm 100% straight), but could have sexual interactions with trapcucks, such as penetration or blowjobs together with the girlfriend. Or, even what's hotter than the actual blowjob, the "eminent blowjob". That would be the MC's dick over the trap's face, or the trap very close to the girlfriend's blowjob, looking intently and breathing on the MC's cock, drooling with pleasure and wanting to suck too. Or also the "no touch" blowjob, where the trap would open her mouth, the MC would stick his cock in, but there would be no fellatio act, it's almost like a breath fuck. And speaking of breath, I wish it had more use for it. It would be hot if the heroine had just given the MC a blowjob, and she went to talk to the cuck afterwards, or kiss him, with her mouth dirty and stinky with cum and cock. And well, hence the use of steam. This gives a stuffy and perhaps odorous feel to the sex scenes.

Best netori game I've played. Incomplete but tons of content. Plays like a VN with SLG aspects. Would hope for dungeon to be worked on into a proper thing, as currently often you just find the correct NPC/skip time in the overall game. Some more engaging gameplay that plays into the story would IMO improve the game. The story and corruption are definitely the strengths that I've enjoyed.

Artstyle is appealing, minimalistic in some way and at first glance seem like a clear copy of Goldenboy's NTRLegend but I would say that it only comparable in a training parts where's on events, mini games, backgrounds and character sprites it feels to draw inspiration from JRPGs and some VNs. I think it's an amazing and unique work of art.

Character, lore and overall plot seem to be a mirror parody of hero harem fantasy games where you have a shy OP horn dog of a hero who woos everyone. At least that's how you feel at the start. Oh boy, no, everyone here has a twist to them, layering, and it feels genuinely refreshing to see ingame process of getting to know someone better and not just sexing out a thin air.

Although characters represent tropes of the genre, they are really flashed out, and you easily find yourself some favorites to look after. MC is not left out in that regard, and you genuinely start to wonder what past these characters had and what would the future entail to them.

Overall, the game feels amazing and I sincerely hope that it would be completed.

Art and general presentation is good, but the writing and characterization really fell hard, in my opinion. And that's what ultimately kills it all for me.

To me, I genuinely felt like the script was written by an incel. And I don't say that just to throw shade or exaggerate or whatever. It honestly felt like the person behind the words genuinely hates women and just sees them all as bitches and sex objects. Which, yeah, we're on a porn site, playing porn games, most of which debase women and treat them like sex objects. But this is the first time I've ever felt like it came from genuine thoughts and feelings instead of just being a fantasy or fetish or whatever. I mean, I hope I'm wrong, of course, and the writer is just genuinely talented in tapping into a different way of thinking, like how an actor might convincingly portray a racist character in a movie or something. Either way, it was just very off putting to me.

Every female character is a bitch in some way or another. Usually they're just outright hostile and mean to you or others. Other times it's because they're easily swayed by a big cock and betray the guys that love them. Almost every one of them seem to have an enflated ego and look down on others. And never do they seem to care about it or self reflect or have any real self awareness about how awful they are. Always they are ultimately shown as just being stupid dick hungry cocksleeves.

The only somewhat decent women were the shy milf that hangs around the town square and is waiting for her soldier husband to come home, and, ironically, the fighter woman in your party who the game tries to go out of its way to paint as the biggest bitch around. Ironically, I found her to be one of the only tolerable characters since she barely talks to you and isn't just spouting bitchy vitriol or encapsulating an incel's perception of what a woman acts like. Then again, I couldn't bring myself to keep playing the game long enough to get to her "training" sessions, where I assume the bulk of her characterization lies, so maybe she really is the worst of them all, idk.

I know it's a corruption game. I know the world is supposed to be dark and gritty. But the game overall just felt so fucking toxic and draining to me. Every character was a self serving asshole. There's no real light or positivity anywhere. Even just reading the dialogue was like wading through the scummiest forums of the internet. Clearly, a lot of people here are fine with all of that, and I truly am glad that they like this game. I just could not get into it.

Unless you're okay with constant darkness and negativity and characters who are all constantly assholes and just an overall constantly draining vibe, maybe stay away from this game.

Very well paced plot and writing, the art and animations do a great job to properly reflect the mood and often look rather unrealistic but are all the better for it.

It is very dialogue heavy but well worth the time to sit and read. Not many other games with this much dialogue have managed this. I can't stress how good the writing is in comparison to similar games. I have seen other reviews about it being written by an incel, but honestly what are you to expect from the format, its a game where basically every female character is sexable. The difference here is that the characters are actually believable, and because it takes the time to really develop the characters and see that slow progression, mixed in with the mind control of the curse, it really is engaging and immersive.

It has an astounding amount of content for how small it seems initially.

I love this game to the point that it's one of the few I actually support via patreon. I came for the debauchery and got sucked into the story. Each character has their personality developed and we can see how it changes as the plot progresses, as they are pushed to the brink and are marked by it after the ordeal. Especially the main character, Mars, who has his background revealed slowly throughout the story and we see that he isn't just the guy who's got a big dick and tries to fuck all the girls. He has a fair number of traumas that only continue to grow as he is forced to make decisions that not only influence his future and happiness, but also the fate of the world.

The game is still a work in progress, with many minigames and other mechanics still in development. When it's fully completed, I can't wait to start from the beginning again and play it through to the end.

As of writing this review, I still have not finished everything that is in this game, but I had to get those words off my mind.

Let me start by saying that this game is an absolute gem and a masterpiece.

In my opinion this is mostly to the amazing writing. The web of intrigue is thick and made perfectly, it keeps you guessing what comes next. The characters are written very well, their actions and choices feel like those of an actual human beings rather than just a medium for porn. Other than that, the entire netori part is done amazingly, and honestly, I can't wait for implementation of the trap tag.
What I feel makes the writing so compelling is also the fact that the main character is very likeable. You do not play a complete sadistic brute, you are a bad guy in the story, but you are not necessarily evil. Contrary to the more sombre atmosphere of the game, I feel hope for the good and happy ending. For peace in the war, and (almost) everyone involved.

Everything written above is reinforced with a great amount of amazing art, it is a joy to look at even if MCs skin colour is shifting from light to swarthy, depending on the scene, but I think everyone is happy that way.

Overall, I cannot wait to see how this game develops, and you can be sure that after I finish my degree and get a stable income, I am hitting that Patreon ASAP.

An Absolute materpiece, every character is perfect for their role and most of them are incredibly likeable, even the crazy arrogant and demanding demon queen is a cutie when you know her better, the after-sex conversations with the main heroine are all wonderful. The main character has the charm and manliness of Rance, but he actually has a brain.

I am a fan of netorare and netorase, never liked netori, but this game is so good that it completely overcame my dislike for the genre.

For a game to even get to such a point it needs to have grounded well made characters, a solid realistic setting and world and a good buildup that keeps you reading to see where the characters go next. This game has it all and more.

The gameplay loop is very repetitive after few hours of playthrough, but then again it's still in development. the supposedly combat aspect of the game wasn't even fully implemented yet. but from what I see the combat itself wasn't really that interesting either. in fact, it looked like it would be a chore than a fun thing to do!
Either way, story and art (especially the art) is top notch! easily one of my fav right now. easily 5/5

This is the best Netori story I've seen on here.

It's very well written (not joking, writer has real talent), the plot is actually good as opposed to the usual for these type of games/stories and is a slow burn which is how I personally think corruption type stories should be.

I've read that some people dislike the art but I think it's fits well, the way it's drawn and the character expressions further add to the degeneracy/corruption though I do have to say as of the latest update v0.4.3 I found a couple of the new sex positions for one of the LIs to be worse in quality.

Having said that I had a few issues with the game, getting stuck more than a few times due to events not firing (especially in older content) but even though that was kinda of frustrating it was still more than worth playing.

Hero Party Must Fall is a genre-defining work even in its infancy. It's a must-play title for anyone with a passing interest in the genre. This is one of very few games that I will download and play each update because I'm so invested in it.

The updates are focused on plot development and writing, with releases being substantial and episodic. There are also some barebones minigames that exist as placeholders for future plans to incorporate more rpg elements. Even if Nitrolith doesn't deliver on a single scrap of non-written content, this will still stand as a seminal work in the history of eroges. Honestly, I'm more worried that the minigames will drag down and disrupt the VN experience.

Nothing more needs to be said. Just play it.

One of the best 2DCG lewd games out there and probably THE BEST Netori-centered one I've ever played.
There aren't a lot of lewd games that focus on Netori and what's worse most of them are just pure porn without any substantial story, yet anybody who has played Hero Party Must Fall will unanimously agree that it isn't any of that. It's still about MC cucking another man with his superb sex skill, but both the story development and the character portrayal make the overall theme more engaging and interesting. The process of corruption, the conflict between heroines about their responsibility, loyalty and love, MC's dilemma about what kind of man he really wants to be (as a pawn or a pawn with conscience)... all these make the gaming experience unforgettable and enjoyable.
There're still a lot of gaming mechanics that are still unfinished and the corruption process might be a bit repetitive sometimes (the game has in-game cheats, it'll make your life a lot easier), but if you like Netori or the theme of corruption overall, seriously give this one a try.
