Reading your comment, I realize my approach isn’t as complex as yours. I don’t branch out the characters like you do; for me, it’s all about how sexy the STORY can be, period. I couldn’t care less about the lives of any characters involved in a hentai story—they’re just vessels to make the narrative captivating, deeper and more intense. For example, I see nothing wrong with Erin suffering from beginning to end. If Erin were to have the worst ending imaginable, it wouldn't affect me in any negative way, especially if it serves the purpose of making the story sexier, which for me, it does, oh it absolutely does... At the same time, I couldn’t care less if Mars became a God and conquered everything—honestly, I don’t give a single fuck about Mars. The same goes for Cecille and any other girl involved, again, for me, the only importance about any characters in a hentai story are their visuals and how they serve the narrative.

I find it interesting that people take those characters so seriously. I’m not judging, really (since my approach is probably even worse in a common speaking sense), I just find it very curious to spend time branching out a character in a hentai story when you could be doing that with a decent manga or anime. Those usually don’t involve porn (which serves nothing for this dynamic), and most of the time, their stories and narratives are far more compelling for that kind of exploration.

That being said, I agree with many of your criticisms about how the characters served the narrative. A lot of things felt rushed, while others dragged on too long. I have some criticisms of my own—for instance, as I mentioned, visuals are one of the most important aspects of a character, and this game had its share of issues in this department. When Mars finally has "sex" with Erin, his hair isn’t even black, and although Erin is drawn with a noticeably feminine silhouette, several other physical traits were altered so drastically that he barely resembles his original self. However, most of these inconsistencies are relatively easy to address, and since the game isn’t finished yet, I’m hopeful they’ll be corrected in the future.

Thats an interesting way to look at it. while I still can't stand feminization and weakness in male characters(blatant straight traps are fine), I think i'll remember that view the next time I read NTR. What I normally enjoy most is seeing submissive girls being pressured into things they shouldn't be doing. usually its NTR but even just giving into persistent hounding is hot. Whenever the girl gets fully on board with it, that aspect is gone but I guess that could also be seen as a climax of sorts.

I do appreciate the same aspects of characters outside porn but its still really rare to find actually relatable characters, I assume because of the culture gap in Asia. Most of them also don't tackle sexual intimacy properly either, which is something very big that I felt this game had.

I dont usually empathize with porn characters either, almost every time its a similar art+story scenario only thing for me. but the more I can get invested into characters the hotter things are in general. the exact same art and story is hotter if its a parody hentai for a character I already know, which is why I play long winded hentai games instead of just skimming through the gallery. This game was great at getting me to care and so everything that happened in the earlier parts was hot to me. I get what you like about cecille but it felt like she went from a proper character to a porn character. its not my first time seeing bbc worship cuck shaming and while I do get the appeal, I still miss seeing cecille being cecille. I guess thats the biggest difference, I didn't miss any other bland character that went down that rabbit hole.

NTR was an acquired taste for me and my main enjoyment comes from the inner turmoil and conflicted thoughts the woman goes through. I hate seeing mind break of any sort, its basically the death of a character while a new one replaces them. The interesting character conflict stops working when the characters suddenly get swapped out. In that sense, I would hate every late stage NTR story but the writing is generally so shit I don't care if the characters go through an ego death or not.

I also think as soon as the girl consciously decides in her mind that the new guy is now "her man", it stops being exciting as an NTR and is really just the aftermath of a one sided break up. usually the humiliation after the fact doesn't get to me, again because i don't care about the characters or they deserve it. watching erin as a serial grooming victim with a body thats been messed around with for the entertainment of the goddesses get dunked on doesn't feel deserved, its already bad enough for him.

its like the opposite extreme, where mindbreak wipes excitement and investment in a character, that game managed to keep the character going till the pain really pierces you. its the only other NTR story thats left me with feelings besides post nut clarity. I think its because I used to relate pretty hard to both cecille and sera personality wise but can no longer recognize cecille.

I don't think you are right, but I understand why you think that way. Cecille is still fascinating, she is basically crazy. She is a box of contradictions and very few limitations. What happened is that the focus of the story moved away from her. It's not that she is not interesting, it's that the developer is not interested in her anymore. Her personality is crazy intense and has a lot of twists. She may have been able to do anything.

In fact, I thought she may do something about the little companion of Mars, that imp, can't get her name right now. Because at some very important point of the story, she noticed how important that little thing was to mars and the power she had over him, and Cecille said something along the lines of "I have to do something with her". And the scene ended, so I thought it was a glimpse into a possible confrontation between Cecille and the imp (homunculus?) to take over Mars.

But it never happened, either I missed something or it's just like I say: The developer changed his focus, started ignoring Cecille.

To be completely honest... am a bit disappointed with how the game came out. It seemed like it had unlimited potential, so many things could happen... but it seems like this is it, right? An entire cast of characters was created just to use their point of view during the end.

It's very weird, I have this feeling that something broke from the developer and crashed his game intentionally. Maybe he can't keep working on it or something.

If this is how it ends, I would go back, cut a lot of content and half baked arcs, and allow a more rounded and perfect art object to be released as complete. The game should have probably finished with the hero's mom fall. The perfect moment would have been once Sera and Cecille were corrupted but the mom brought a lot of great content.

True. I mean I still like Cecille, I was just hoping that the developer did something more to bridge the gap between her batshit insane persona from her previous iterations. Her change was kinda too much I guess for my taste.

I've read my fair share of NTR doujinshi where the girl just becomes mindbroken in the next few pages but the thing is, this game offers a really good build up from the initial corruption of Cecille. I wouldn't keep my expectation up for any actually good development from the dev (no offense) but games like this has such a high curveball, either you really go over the way to top it up or flop at the end.
