I would also argue that you as a player has the option to opt out of everything gay related....because not really.

You will inevitably see scenes with him on other routes so you can't just outright ignore him. You also need to interact with him before you can even transform him into a girl IIRC so yeah. If you are hell bend against male gay content than you will have a bad time with this game. Not in the beginning but later on.
I admit his amount of scenes in the grand scheme of things are small but he is always there and integral part of the story.

As for the art. Nitro's defense was and will always be that this is a training game. Test things out and develop as an artist. That's totally fine.
However the game has blown out of proportion both in length and popularity so of course there will be discourse because people want consistensy. I don't think nitro cares however. It is what it is.

Some images really look like AI and some don't but they are just clashing more and more the longer the game goes on. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I will defend the discord group on one case, since i believe the guy was trying to troll, considering that he had that leaf that signals him as newly arrived member.

I left the discord earlier this year because it got way too toxic. You can't be critical to the game without getting bashed by the same people or god forbid if you are against or just don't like gay content. Try asking if you can avoid gay content and see what will happen xD
If you don't sing praises to the game or are a femboy enjoyer then you are better off not posting on there.

I am still looking forward to the full game but I feel like, for the lack of a better word, that the game and development stagnated.
In addition to the artstyle changes, erin discourses and personal experiences on the discord my overall interest of the game took a nosedive. It also doesn't help that the first update to act 3 takes longer than usual but that could be just me.

Im also generally talking about the H-scenes text specifically, there's an entire Arc about breaking Sera as she tries to resist you which ends up with her turning animalistic (this is where the race based humiliation kicks in, it's kinda sad but super hot).

Also i don't know how reading the Dialogue has you not thinking Mars is trying to enforce his superiority over the other characters as someone from a Demon race not a BBC/dark skin human (really from a human perspective reading the story and seeing all the anti-demon women and males he dominates including NPCs is quite jarring).

Im not saying it's a bad thing, quite the contrary thats why i love this game, specifically because of it's super dark corruption themes.

I think this is a discourse worth having, or worth sharing at the very least.

I know this is different for everybody, but if you like gay sex, that's fine. If you don't like it or are repulsed by it, that's also totally fine! The more I see certain types of people try to police others, the more it annoys me. I am especially annoyed by the 'What I think is morally superior to yours' behaviour that has gained prevalence in the last years. This would get too political or off-topic so I won't go into detail, but any type of it rustles my jimmies.

I believe a wider range of updates for all characters at once would have been better in this instance, but then again, like you wrote, the game exploded and receive a lot of attention from different sides., for what was essentially a training game.

Circling back to the Erin content, Erin doesn't feel masculine but feminine and submissive, so to me, that part is not gay. I'm not gay and I don't find masculinity attractive, so to me it doesn't feel like homosexuality. The parts I've skipped in the game were the cuckolding of Erin from his point of view, for instance. That fetish is not for me. This game conceptualizes domination and corruption extremely well, so that is what really gets me. The excessive violence mixed with sex that is apparent in the latter part of the game is also not really my jam. Having to juggle all the different kinks must be hard as a developer. I've always had the idea of designing a porn game and observing the development of this game has shown me how hard it is to actually make a successful and high-quality one.

As for AI, there is a pretty damning CG a few pages back that should not have made into the game as it runs contrary to the standard Nitrolith has been on.

But then again, this is a pornographic game we are consuming for free most of the time (I did my part in supporting though) and complaining about it so I find it always important to understand where we are in the world and what we are doing

I will make a bold assumption now and say that the majority of players are straight however and the addition of erin content this "late" in the development has of course generated some discourse. Nitro is working very strictly of of his script he created and has a clear vision so the inclusion of gay content was always a thing so I guess he was aware of what will happen.

I know that I will either kill erin or turn him female so that I can find some enjoyment in act 3 out of this character.

I think it's fair to say that people advocating for more gay content and for Mars's skin to be darker had an effect on the development of the game, even if nitro tries to deny it.

It's really fucking weird, I remember then having a conversation in discord, where they kept calling themselves soft, and then changed to them calling themselves hot heads.

Once Nitrolith showed up to answer a guy with a image that contained female Erin, they started chiding Nitrolith and telling him he knows better than to post female Erin content and the only character on mars dick should be femboy Erin.

It wasn't even friendly banter, more like a command, Nitrolith just stayed silent after that.

I noticed that happens a lot, god forbid someone says something bad or don't agree with a thing of game and it goes into a uproar of name calling and everybody putting on their smart glasses .

Hell Nitrolith doesn't even talk or even is that active, the community pretty much speaks for him.

However, imo, The current problem isn't the AI art itself, it's both the lack of transparency from the Dev, not disclosing his use of AI when he clearly is, and like you said, the inconsistent drawings that comes with it, sometimes two drawings look like completely different styles even though they were made in the same update

If it really is just art style change, this is the most abrupt and fast art style change I've ever seen, going by just his Patreon posts and the game itself

The gay content is more or less avoidable so it’s whatever for me. It also follows the Japanese trend of “draw a girl and call it a boy” which works for me. As long as I the dev doesn’t go full bara then I’m good.

As for Mars and his ever changing skin tone I have no idea if it’s deliberate or not but it is obvious. I feel like if Nitro wants to cater to that crowd he should make a new character who he can use for that specific content instead of turning Mars into a Chameleon.
