I played very little of the game but isn't it near the camp of the first boss fight? The thief guy after the forest.

That area is technically a beach but it's called the shore. There is a full-on beach area for the summer event that you can visit much later.

You have to be online from the time you start the game client, you have to complete [Holy Magic Arc: A Warm Welcome] and [Sky Magic Arc: Adjudicating Adjuncts], and you can then go to Ranbol and an option to go to the beach should appear. If you aren't seeing the option, it could be because you didn't complete one of the required quests or it could be because you are offline.

You can check the mod manager and go to the plugins tab to see if the server is able to install plugins. If you are connected to the Internet and there are no plugins listed, it is possible that it could be your firewall, so you might want to add the Hex game client application as an exception to Windows Defender or your other antivirus software. 99.9% of people should not have to do this though.

Weird... is it in the travel menu? Maybe you already went once and somehow something bugged out and the cutscene didn't play? Idk. Can you send me your save file (use "save to disk" in the save menu, hotkey Q)?

Also, I reached out to a YouTuber to make a review of Hex, and they did! I think it came out pretty good, and I think their commentary was insightful, and I've already made some changes to address some of the issues they mentioned.


I have a Patreon-only update to Hex coming soon! The next major free update will probably be in early October. It will feature the pregnancy and birth system, among other things! I'm excited to release it, but right now, I'm also occupied with the upcoming steam release of my other game, Succubus Stories.

It doesn't take that much to publish to Steam. I am worried about being removed from Steam and other platforms, or just straight debanked in the future the way things are going, but for now things are going okay for me. A lot of adult devs are functionally being pushed out of the market, though, it's crazy.

I'm new to this game. What does the game mean by "thorn-pierced aura's blooming effect"?

Thorn-pierced is the aura associated with dryad magic. When hitting enemies under the thorn-pierced aura with physical damage, there's a chance for the thorns to "bloom" dealing a big burst of damage. The chance for the bloom to happen and its damage is modified by the number of stacks.
