There is also another update scheduled for this month on the 15th and I don't want to risk losing out on itHowever they should 100% make the free version available soon, because its gonna be washed beneath the Queen Trainer and a few other high profile releases that are all happening in a month.
I wouldn't even say the problem is the number of frames but more how they're used. Plenty of old flash games managed to have a pretty "hot" animation using very few frames. Lately it feels even the high budget projects can't seem to get it right.
I suspect the creation of the 'animation meta' is probably at fault for why these projects seem to be so slow nowadays. It takes way more effort to create a single animations than several scenes with changing facial expressions. I also find sex scenes with animations are a lot shorter too. I play visual novels for the sex scenes because they have text to them, I enjoy it when the characters talk to each other.
Same here, and it sucks when the scenes are becoming shorter anymore because they get rushed out. I much rather wait longer and have better updates vs rapid small ones but thats just me

It hasn't been abandoned, just no one has been leaking updates. Its on Patch 0.4 now
