oh, i just threw alice at them. the problem went away pretty quickly after that. now i'm stuck on morax, because that shield just wont go down and i dont wanna risk alice dying to him.
Yeah alice is insane damage, but she's also very hard for people to capture as every other page of this has people asking how to beat her even on easy setting so I tried to provide a guide that doesn't hinge on having her. It takes a lot longer and a ton more resources, but having alternatives will usually help people figure out what works for them and what doesn't.

So just started up my save again 1.0.2 and saw the changes to the colonized areas (very nice btw), and this one just stuck out like a sore thumb. Will this settlement be colonize-able in the future? Theofrad
Edit: To clarify it's Yilong Wharf in the top left of Liyue Map, left of Qiaoying Village which you can colonize

Yeah so normally when you trigger a resonance it does melt or something similar with an extra bit of flat damage. However most of the elite knights are heavily resistant to most elemental damage types. But when you trigger nycto resonance it causes a dot trigger at the start of their turn which is the one element they basically never are resistant to. this is also important because it counters any inherent healing the knights do, keeping them from amping back up as their turn starts up. Also typically people will have more red/blue slimes than nycto ones, so you can fill up archer squads of them easier for double hits every turn instead of a single weaker hit with the elemental bow. You can also trigger the nycto resonance with shamans, but usually your shamans are busy pumping out mines or building platforms so better to use the more available archers to do the trigger. Keep in mind you don't need a ton of them, just enough to trigger on each of the knights to keep them from being able to recover, and since this damage triggers after they heal but before they take a turn, they won't hit your guard units as hard because they won't have recovered their squad numbers so they can stay up longer to keep the formation from collapsing.
So... Did you know that the Nycto element itself triggers that DOT effect? Unless the resonance deals more damage, using other units can actually remove the DOT effect. Since two hits from other elements removes one "charge" of Nycto. Unless triggering corrosion increases the DOT effect, or deals bonus damage, it's better to just use all Nycto archers.

I am planning to rewrite the colony system, with more place to colonize and different building tree. So yes.
Here is a draft of Mondstadt city

Hmmm.... that's interesting - is this just going to be for the major cities, or is the entire system being reworked for everywhere?
Because the slave farms are exactly the kind of thing I feel we need, due to the recent changes to slave production.

I've been playing Hilichurl's Ambition for over a week now and at first I wasn't sure what to expect from it, but after several tries I finally got the hang of it. that and the guides and tips from other people in the comments also helped. The game is really stratigic and forces you to adept each time and with each battle. Managing your materials, Armies, Slaves, Etc is a real good thing.

A few things I want to adress which probably already is done by other players.

1. Even on Easy it still feels like your playing on hard sometimes. Especially when you trigger certain characters like Noel or Klee by accident. What also happened in a few of my redo's was that Amber showed up right after I got Fischl giving me next to no time to rebuild from the loses against Fischl which caused some trouble on my earlier plays.

2. A tutorial would be nice or a least some ingame tips when confronted with something new.

3. Lumine is also a menace, especially early game. She comes to straight to your main base of operations, proceeds to beat the crap out your forces and nukes what's left of them.

4. Another thing is that as soon as you conquer a region (Let's say Mondtstad) the more elite unites such as Elite Adventures, Knights and Elite Knights become non existent. real problem for certain upgrades or when you try to establish a new colony. Might want to look into a few ways so they can be obtained even after conquering a region.

5. Mayby a way to restore a broken Vision.

Overall a good game already, despite some short comings it has a good start. Looking forward to future updates.

What do you mean restore a broken vision. Like to it's original element? Say Pyro breaks for Amber and you want her to get her Pyro vision back? Cause I don't think thematically that would make much sense. The hilichurls are trying to corrupt them, their goal essentially is to get the heroines to use the Nycto visions.

For the tutorial request: I have a suggestions. Maybe use that character we see at the start, Ella something. To be our tutorial person. She already started out with it. The hilichurls could meet her, understand that she speaks their language, then capture and use her to be their guide, to give info (the tutorial) to them. No lewd stuff with the character though, that girl is too young.

Good to know the plans go in that direction. Are Maids also planned to get a farm? I noticed it's the only unit from you can get in the Mondstadt region that was not shown there and they would also be needed for a special NPC training. I think you can only get them from Dawn winery so "supply" is short in that sense.

Okay, that's very clear info there. And I understand what your saying. thanks.

I do wonder about that - seems to me like there's a few places already on the map where it'd make sense to be able to colonize them, but it doesn't really make sense to use the current system, like the Dawn Winery or the Warf that are too close to other colonies. but this systems could be setup to allow unique buildings to be built in different locations, without setting up abyssal portals in those locations.

Pirates just up and vanish with no resupply at all. So looking at such units would probably good for future updates.

Technically... not true. You know that one island with the 8 pirates at the start? If you don't garrison it, your control will eventually degrade to the point that new pirate units will re-spawn, and retake the island. It's fairly trivial to just let them build back up to ~6 teams, then go back and harvest them.

Okay, I didn't know that. I keep finding new Elements to the gameplay here.

So you can restore a vision, but to Nycto. Generally if you capture a heroine and do anything with her, be it breeding, altar, or torture, her resistance will fall. If it falls enough, she becomes submissive, if you continue on, the vision brakes, and then you can go and drag the girl to the altar to repair the vision, but not to her original element, but to Nycto element. At that point the girl is fully corrupted and should she die in combat you can revive her with the altar again.
The issue is, the lower the girls resistance, and the "lower" her status is (going from disobedient/resistant -> submissive -> broken -> corrupted) the worse are her chances for higher hilichurl offspring.
Amber as an example very early on when you get her you can get Pyro Mitachurls from her. If she is mating too much, her resistance will drop (not submissive yet, so still in disobedient stage) and the Mitachurl will disappear as an option. Let her rest and recover and her resistance will rise again, therefore you can get the higher hilichurls again.
However at some point comes the moment, where you got enough Mitachurls and then, what use is Amber? Well now you corrupt her. The best way is to just drag her to the altar and corrupt her through it. It gives the best results. Alternatively you can just chip away at her through different methods until her vision brakes and then restore it to Nycto vision. You can also use a abyssal wedge to instantly break her vision and then corrupt her to repair it immediately (in terms of abyss power this is the cheapest)
Essentially the first way is to convert the vision from pyro to nycto immediately and the second is pyro -> broken -> nycto. If you go without breaking the vision it will give you more pyro resistance on your altar which is why it's recommended. (though I guess now it doesn't matter much anymore cause you can just sacrifice any pyro unit to have it increase endlessly?)
The use in corrupted heroines is to use them in battle, or to get Nycto element units.

Hi everybody, I have updated the game basic guide of Flannan to v1.0.2 (with more informations). I will try to make and keep this one up to date. Feel free to edit the wrong thing of the guide. Here is the link:

And I would like my guide will be linked on the opening post (this is also Flannan's suggestion).

You can click on a girl and then drag and drop her to another spot. Drag her to the altar in the middle of the room. Then press the corrupt option on the altar.
Note that this is final though, they can't be un-corrupted, once it's done, whatever they could breed before hand is gone and they get new options for the hilichurls they can give.
