I am quite surprised that you never had ninjas come; do you avoid planting the nycto trees at all, as even with just 1 I would eventually get some? I feel like early on in hellichurl you are just waiting to spawn better units to start your major expansion, and getting the tress is one of the few things that you can do when you are food-starved and weak. the extra threat do not seem too difficult to deal with, and sometimes even beneficial go get certain heroines to spawn in.For #3, I've never experienced the ninja's coming to attack me. While I do generally agree that Inazuma and other distant nations shouldn't send attacking forces at you until you've got some land nearby to attack from, the actual issue here is probably that you've planted a bit too many threat generating buildings in your farm. Which is maybe where the conversation should revolve around. How distant nations should react towards our threat, and how much they should actually be threatened by your actions.
I am not sure I'd agree with this. On hellichurl at least the first few (defensive) mitachurls feel very important to me. Early on you are so food- and villager-constrained that expansion past Windrise/Guili Plains, the natural chokepoints, is impossible as you are constantly bleeding to defend it, and only the Mitachurls shield is enough to stabilise the front and give you the breathing space to actual expand to get 2 Katheryns and your first colonies which can actually solve your food issues2: Mitachurls are in an odd position where they are somewhat useless to both ends of the game. Early game they are so rare that you will struggle to get a few going, and late game they are useless because Lawachurls are mandatory.
Just doing a few sweeps tends to be enough for me.6: Threat management could also use a little bit of work, as it feels that when I'm ready to hit the next heroine gate, sometimes the bar doesn't want to actually let me. Have to ignore landmarks at times so I can burn them all in one fell swoop to piss them off enough to actually face me.
Do you just have 10ish mitachurls (or god forbid lawachurls) per unit, wait a long time for breeding, or have ascended to breeding nirvana? I am not there in my hellichurl run, but my hard run when the last Liyue Port fight was done at turn 100ish, fielding just a 6 unit squad with mitachurls/big slimes (for rogues)/whopperflowers as followers was quite the undertaking alreadyFor #2, Mitachurls do fall of later in the game... as leaders. The offensive Mitachurls are still very useful to pair with a Lawachurl leader if you need a lot of damage, while defensive Mitachurls pair very well with Samachurls to keep them protected. A shield that recharges each turn isn't something to be ignored. The only reason to stop using the offensive mitachurls as minions is if you start generating nycto lawachurls, in which case full lawachurl squads become the predominent force.
1: Using Mitachurls as sub-units sounds like a good idea until you realize Whopperflowers exist. Bullet and Binding is a very hard thing to beat compared to the stomp of doom. As far as the shield variant goes, the issue is still one of not having enough of them to really fill out sub-army lists, coupled with the fact that its useless for Chasm/Reef due to the nycto procs needing resistance.I just wanted to respond to these, since they don't exactly match my own experience.

For #5, I don't really see where this is coming from? The trees give you a small amount of their element power each week, which increases the amount of damage you deal and reduces the amount of damage you take from element. Plus, those trees also contribute their element to your farm, letting your slime pools generate slimes of that element. And, at least for anemo, that gives you a consistant supply of large slimes for their rogues without needing to dedicate someone to breeding them.
The answer is likely tied to the fact that the Other sibling went to the Abyss. Natlan showed us that we can be recorded in Leylines, due to possessing an Ancient Name and having talked with the Ley Lines directly during the Natlan Archon Quest. Therefore, things of sufficient power can tie a descender to the land.Well, I admit I hinted this, which is maybe a little extreme. But actually, Descender’s Remain in Genshin is the material used to create Gnosis. (More Precisely, the third Descender's remains). So since there are gnosis, then the descender must have died a long time ago.
(Here I use Lumine for traveller, and Aether for the traveller's sibling, though orthodoxly speaking Lumine should be the one with abyss)
There are four descenders. The first one should be the Heavenly Principles and the fourth is Lumine. It is not sure who is second or third.
There was a guess that Aether is the third descender, . However this is almost overturned in 5.5 according to the story of Nibelung.
(There is also an evidence that descenders cannot be recorded in Irminsul, but Aether was. However I don't think that is valid, because we know Lumine is the fourth, so Aether should be able to not be recorded in Irminsul, but somehow forfeit it. That means he could still be a descender when he descended. At least this is more convincing to me than saying Nebelung, a native dragon is the third descender because it left Teyvat and descended back.)
Anyway, this means either that bone does not belong to Aether, or Aether died at least 500 years ago and the Aether you see is just some abyss monster.
Maybe I should change that icon to a sword or something or somehow explain that Aether died 500 years ago. Otherwise this does make players uncomfortable.
People are blowing the ninja problem out of proportion. In fact, it's not even a problem. One mitachurl at your main base is more than enough to defend against every single wave of ninjas that come at you. The response is that simple. The issue I have with ninjas isn't that they exist, its that there is nothing you can do about them until you get a level three boat and can put defensive units in Inazuma proper. I'm aware of the threat system, it's simply that I have responses for the other nations - not so much with Inazuma.
The "Problem" is moreso that I don't like it when enemies have a direct line to the base. The Sword Grave is the last line of defense for pretty much the entire rest of the continent, but Inazuma gets an annoying backdoor that you can't solve till you reach ship level 3.People are blowing the ninja problem out of proportion. Ok, I had a look at the files - ninja's have a threshold of 100 threat. Below that level, they should not spawn. Threat decreases at a rate of 20% per week. Thus, to spawn ninja's, you'd need to be generating at least 20 threat per week. Which would mean you'd need 3+ nycto trees to spawn ninja's (base threat is 5, +5 per tree). Unless you are getting threat with Inazuma from some other source, you shouldn't be seeing ninja's from just planting 1-2 nycto trees. And even at three, that 20% reduction means it'll take a while to acutally get there. So I don't know how you got ninja'd with only one tree. did you have any wedges planted as well? Those generate threat as well, but you'd still need about 10 of those + the tree. Or did you plant the elemental trees? Each of those generate threat as well.I am quite surprised that you never had ninjas come; do you avoid planting the nycto trees at all, as even with just 1 I would eventually get some? I did not realise the anemo tree counted as well, so that's 1 more tree; are there really no other way to increase threat to Inazuma? I could have sworn that I get occassional ninjas with 2 trees total, but I don't keep old save so if there is no one-time sources of threat, I'll chalk it up to me misremembering.Ok, I had a look at the files - ninja's have a threshold of 100 threat. Not a huge fan of the fight either, but you can also play the uno reverse card on them and use one dendro samachurl, put mines right in front of of the samachurl and wait for the ninja to kill herself; that does forgo a potential captive thoughOnly thing I hated with the ninjas who harass Dadaupa gorge is how they just waste your time if you fight them manually. I don't want to spend more than 3 minutes playing hide and seek in a minefield.![]()
My personal preference would be to instead just remove the connection entirely, but give distant nations other ways to interact and hamper or attack the player. Like building up their own defenses, or sending units to aid other nations, maybe even send attacking units, but spawn them at sieged capitals. Then, maybe the unique heroine teams could spawn and attack the players capital, with an appropriate warning that that's happening. After looking through some posts discussing ninjas being able to attack Dadaupa Gorge directly, I believe a point of interest is the lack of an indicator for when your main base is about to be attacked by generic units. If a new player passively generates too much threat from their farm, they could potentially overlook that Inazuma has a backdoor to their main base, allowing ninjas to attack and occupy an undefended Dadaupa Gorge in one fell swoop, thereby ending the player's playthrough prematurely. Adding an indicator for when generic units are about to assault Dadaupa Gorge can ensure that players have the essential knowledge needed to defend themselves adequately--unless surprise attacks are intended. Defending against a known threat is far more feasible than remaining largely unaware of a potential one.
I think the easy fix would be to make reinforcements from Inazuma come through Liyue Harbor or Alcor, which is the route ordinary people would take.My personal preference would be to instead just remove the connection entirely, but give distant nations other ways to interact and hamper or attack the player. Theway I get them it with a shielded Mitachurl. I advance it, then just wait a little bit, just passing my turn.Only thing I hated with the ninjas who harass Dadaupa gorge is how they just waste your time if you fight them manually.
