I have tried both updating my NVIDIA drivers and VC++, neither worked, even after a reboot

Try creating a shortcut and add -dx11 to the parameters and play game using it

This game is literally so dark, all you can see are the glowing mushroom. I literally had to find a wall and trace it just so I could actually see where I'm walking.
