The game should have ended with this update but it's incomplete, right? Or the update is just incomplete but the story continues? I didn't really understand, I haven't played Hillside for 2 updates.

To me, the game is still good, but it's also clear that it has problems in the last few years where the dev is having trouble with how to move the game forward that it is not anywhere as good as it could've been.

I think the biggest issue is the decision to have Charlotte and Emma as the main 2 characters in the game but also setting them so far back in terms of relationship with MC at the start (Charlotte hated men, and Emma was 200% clueless about guys) that it'd require so much time to move them forward. Added with the slow burn approach, the overall relationship didn't progress much when compared to the game's 4 years of development despite the quite meaningful story progression. Most people would play the game for the romance/relationship and not the plot about criminals so the slow burn feels really really really slow. Up to this latest update, Charlotte is still only at the "can I trust MC?" stage.

I genuinely think that the dev simply doesn't know how they can move the relationship forward because of what the game has committed to.

This doesn't even take into consideration how Suzi is so neglected that she's even further behind and still stuck at the "MC is a perv, I don't trust him and I don't understand why Charlotte and Emma like him" stage.
Well said and I completely agree.

I haven't played the update yet; my hope was that the relationship with Suzi had progressed.

Suzi has finally moved in, which means it's time to tame that brat. Don't worry, I'll take one for the team and volunteer for the task... I got this
Except to get on Suzi path you need to say no to Charlotte, Lucy, Emma, Kaylah, Agent Fox ... -- i.e., impossibru!

I am still holding out hope that Lucy will be the keymaster to the secret Lloyd harem path. Show interest in her (but don't kiss her) while also showing interest to Charlotte, Suzi, and Emma but NOT Kaylah and Agent Fox. Lucy has no problem flashing MC in front of Charlotte and Emma (kinky!), sleeping nude with Charlotte, and she asks Suzi whether she has any feelings for MC before she moves in while still being interested in MC, so she has no problem sharing. And we know that Charlotte, Emma, and Suzi all need a white knight ...thus by the logic of AVNs = incest harem non-canon epilogue kthxbye

I mostly agree tho for me ch 14 and 15 it does feel Charlotte is starting to show some relationship progression and starting to move forward granted still a slow pace but still faster than before.

I Don't remember how updates usually ends, but that 'The End' screen took me by surprise.

At least, the story still needs a epilogue, something like Chasing Sunsets. Well, at least on Lucy`s path, since people are saying than in Charlotte path things are still far away do have a conclusion.

I know... it's a difficult choice, but one I'm happy to make - especially since 2 of those 5 aren't puttin' out anytime soon ;)

Aint that the truth
This series... ops AVN needs more drama. That's why I say, let Suzi fail her trials for the Olympic team! :devilish: Emma should also have obtained an honourable second place in that fashion show: no matter how hot her mother is, Emma's dress is nothing more than some toilet paper rolled over the naughty bits...:ROFLMAO: She clearly has no talent as a fashion designer :p

Now that the "main" drama of Charlotte is winding down to a conclusion, it's time for our blue-balled hero to bring happiness to those two poor daughters of hers. That's why failure would be better than success. You've got to strike'em when they're most vulnerable!:p

Well it hasn't progressed in this update itself, but it can be the beginning of the future progression now that she's visiting home.

There is no denying that there is relationship progression, but at the same time, it shouldn't take 14-15 chapters to reach the point of "can I trust MC?".

I think in the last 3 or so updates, Charlotte has been somewhat stuck at the stage where she wanted to trust MC but still couldn't fully trust him because of her trauma so we kind of got this repetitive "can I trust MC?" thoughts over and over again. This is all understandable and logical because trauma doesn't just go away, but ultimately this is a video game, so pacing matters and the relationship feels extremely slow because of choice of the character's background.

Honestly, I somewhat wish for a timeskip to happen so we can move the relationship progression quicker.

100% Agree.

I love the game to bits, but at this rate, I think I need to forget about this game for a year or two. The game is just so good, that I cannot help myself to play a new update when it comes out. (And of course, the updates are far apart) I always feel disappointed after an update, because I want more. Just to be clear, I do not fault the developer, but just my own impatience.

I do love the pace of the game, but as you said, the trauma of the main LI is soo much, having sex with her in the next few updates (for at least 6 months to a year) is pretty much impossible.

The one positive it seems like, looking at other relationships in the game, there won't be a stairway to heaven progression (ie Handjob -> Footjob-> Titfuck -> Blow job -> Vaginal Sex -> Anal Sex). Thank God for that. That is the opposite of how real woman works. (I compare real woman to a damn bursting. Once you crossed the Rubicon, there is no stopping them)

In any case, I think I will wait for at least 3-4 updates before I play this one again.

Yip, Emma and Suzie are also far from intimacy, but I think the furthest progress is with Emma. I think the biggest obstacle on her route will be that she still lives in a fantasy world with princes and princesses and also the MC himself. He will probably have to overcome his own moral judgements on having a relationship with her. I can just imagine how that conversation with Suzie and Charlotte will go....lol :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Suzie is so far away that the MC does not even think of her in any romantic way. And as a player, you don't even have a clue on how to get on her route (No relationship with anyone I guess?)

The bright point is that his relationships with Khyla and Lucy(?) progressed at a decent speed. So all and all, all the relationships are very realistic in the game, but some of them can be painful as a player of the game.

TLDR: I will wait a year or maybe 2 before I play this again. (I just need some self-control)
