Well said and I completely agree. To me, the game is still good, but it's also clear that it has problems in the last few years where the dev is having trouble with how to move the game forward that it is not anywhere as good as it could've been.
I think the biggest issue is the decision to have Charlotte and Emma as the main 2 characters in the game but also setting them so far back in terms of relationship with MC at the start (Charlotte hated men, and Emma was 200% clueless about guys) that it'd require so much time to move them forward. Added with the slow burn approach, the overall relationship didn't progress much when compared to the game's 4 years of development despite the quite meaningful story progression. Most people would play the game for the romance/relationship and not the plot about criminals so the slow burn feels really really really slow. Up to this latest update, Charlotte is still only at the "can I trust MC?" stage.
I genuinely think that the dev simply doesn't know how they can move the relationship forward because of what the game has committed to.
This doesn't even take into consideration how Suzi is so neglected that she's even further behind and still stuck at the "MC is a perv, I don't trust him and I don't understand why Charlotte and Emma like him" stage.
I haven't played the update yet; my hope was that the relationship with Suzi had progressed. To me, the game is still good, but it's also clear that it has problems in the last few years where the dev is having trouble with how to move the game forward that it is not anywhere as good as it could've been.

Except to get on Suzi path you need to say no to Charlotte, Lucy, Emma, Kaylah, Agent Fox ... -- i.e., impossibru!Suzi has finally moved in, which means it's time to tame that brat. Don't worry, I'll take one for the team and volunteer for the task... I got this
You want progression with a Li in this game. Thats weird, we don't do that here.I haven't played the update yet; my hope was that the relationship with Suzi had progressed.
I know... it's a difficult choice, but one I'm happy to make - especially since 2 of those 5 aren't puttin' out anytime soonExcept to get on Suzi path you need to say no to Charlotte, Lucy, Emma, Kaylah, Agent Fox ... -- i.e., impossibru!
Aint that the truthYou want progression with a Li in this game. Thats weird, we don't do that here.
And we all know: This story is something for old spinsters who love to watch Hallmark movies in TVYou want progression with a Li in this game. Thats weird, we don't do that here.
Hey, I'm mildly offended by that comment. I would never watch Hallmark movies on TV!!! I stream them insteadAnd we all know: This story is something for old spinsters who love to watch Hallmark movies in TV
I mostly agree tho for me ch 14 and 15 it does feel Charlotte is starting to show some relationship progression and starting to move forward granted still a slow pace but still faster than before. To me, the game is still good, but it's also clear that it has problems in the last few years where the dev is having trouble with how to move the game forward that it is not anywhere as good as it could've been.

I Don't remember how updates usually ends, but that 'The End' screen took me by surprise. The game should have ended with this update but it's incomplete, right? Or the update is just incomplete but the story continues? I didn't really understand, I haven't played Hillside for 2 updates.
it's normal at least for the 3 or so updates ive played this game for it has beenI Don't remember how updates usually ends, but that 'The End' screen took me by surprise.
At least, the story still needs a epilogue, something like Chasing Sunsets. Well, at least on Lucy`s path, since people are saying than in Charlotte path things are still far away do have a conclusion.
This series... ops AVN needs more drama. That's why I say, let Suzi fail her trials for the Olympic team! Emma should also have obtained an honourable second place in that fashion show: no matter how hot her mother is, Emma's dress is nothing more than some toilet paper rolled over the naughty bits... She clearly has no talent as a fashion designerI know... it's a difficult choice, but one I'm happy to make - especially since 2 of those 5 aren't puttin' out anytime soon

Well it hasn't progressed in this update itself, but it can be the beginning of the future progression now that she's visiting home.I haven't played the update yet; my hope was that the relationship with Suzi had progressed.
There is no denying that there is relationship progression, but at the same time, it shouldn't take 14-15 chapters to reach the point of "can I trust MC?".I mostly agree tho for me ch 14 and 15 it does feel Charlotte is starting to show some relationship progression and starting to move forward granted still a slow pace but still faster than before.
Because you are a young spinster !!Hey, I'm mildly offended by that comment. I would never watch Hallmark movies on TV!!! I stream them instead
