Great game overall, but when I checked the characters menu I cant help but question: is 170cm for a woman really considered short in USA? I mean for comparison, a 170cm woman in my country will probably be B Grade model.

Well, at least for someone who is used to a modeling standard, something above 175 would more or less the norm in the US/EU - everything below that will make it quite a bit harder. For everybody else 170 is actually a bit above the average...
