And I keep on recommending "Hillside" on all the popular threads but some guys are just some guys who likes to bully and laugh on other ppls judgement and choices...but this VN is my top tier because this is how reality works not some Hollywood style super cool nuisance fake action hero focused overrated shows...which is old-school from my point of view...yeah I said it.

Don't worry I'm sure the audience for this game will grow. It's already attracted the attention for those of us who appreciate a good slow burn story with complex characters, once there's a few lewd scenes the rest will probably jump on

So I gave it a go and really have enjoyed it so far but I agree with Pothb and wouldn't call this a clone or ripoff. So you play a MC protecting a young girl from a stalker so what. Not everything has to be unique. How many, police/law/hospital/firestation drama/action tv series are there, they're not clones.

Anyhoo, this is goes in a very different direction than Lexi and each has own pros and cons.

As I've said before I like the seriousness of the story here, the artwork and renders are pretty darn good. As much as I like harem's it wouldn't make sense here unless everyone got seriously freaky pretty darn fast which would cheapen the story.

I'm really looking forward to the healing brought to Charlotte by the MC just being a decent guy to her and showing her not all men are scum like she's used to. Bonus points for him actively rescuing her from both the 2 main douches in her life.

As much as I dislike the jumping from character to character and not playing purely from the MC's perspective, I have found it's given me more of a connection to Charlotte and Emma than I got the girls in Lexi. In the other, sure want to protect them, but they're more just targets to bang and fall in love with. i've become invested in Charlotte & Emma and I really want to protect and help more than bang them.

Too soon, don't get me wrong, I want updates as fast as a dev can but I have seen some burn themselves trying to release faster than monthly updates.
I say take your time and do bigger and better updates. One month or two between updates is fast enough.

Gotta agree, 2-3 months an update is great and has been the average for most the games i've played here,hell i'd be fine with 6 months if renders and story is great, no greed or milking, just working hard to make a great game. This is one of my top 10 games, I checked out lexi last week and while it's a great game, hillside is just a much better version of it, especially on renders and im a huge sucker for beautiful renders.

Kid goes to college, joins a frat, otherwise he'd be homeless. Then the story tells about his misadventures and fucking. Oh! Let's not forget the whole: "2 lesbians fucking your life up" part of that. Yeah. Awesome story line, bruh! Much better than any other!

I agree that many people are trying to get rich quick and milking patreons, esp those that say they would quit their jobs and do this full time and then still take 6-12 months for a single update, but many of devs here make under 1k and few over 2k, they're not gonna put all their time on a game and risk living off the streets for that. Sure if devs are doing this full time honestly 3-4 months months is what i would tolerate if i was supporting them. Also good story and art takes time, unless you've developed a successful game yourself and know the process I'd cut them some slack.

There's a game here thats nearing 6k a month and only had 1 release/short demo, and that was almost 7 months ago, now that's what you call milking. Also the 6 month is in general, i wasn't talking about just this game.

I guess you totally misinterpreted my statements.

I think the current "pacing" of Hillside's updates is more than adequate now: if every update comes out every 1 months and a half - 2 months I'd be quite happy.

3-4 months wouldn't be good. If it took 6 months for the next update I'd say the project is dead.
