For Joshy's sake, you really need a head_pats_and_hand_holding_Emma variable at some point.You need to not be on Charlotte or Lucy paths, so values should be mom_choice_04=0 and aunt_choice_03=0.

I felt really bad for Emma during that scene where she cries in her room because she doesn't understand her feelings towards the mc

I felt the same way. She'd always been looking for someone her own age and now her father figure starts turning out to be something nonfamilial. She's falling for him romantically and doesn't even know yet. It will be interesting to see how that progresses going forward.
What exactly is responsible for triggering Emma and her teddy bear scene ?
I did several playthroughs and there's a couple of them in which Emma does not behave like that, while on other playthroughs she does.

You have to NOT be on Charlotte's path.
