I like this game, but anyone who says it lacks sexual content . . . certainly has a valid point, no?
This is hosted on an "adult games forum."
Bait and switch?
This game has been going on for . . . years . . . and those who say they love the story are . . . loving a story that's not even at the level of a soap opera.
At least soap operas have quirky events in them, you can laugh at soap operas.
But this has a very very serious tone. And that makes it funny for those of us who see how ridiculous the story is.
Feminist supermodel hires bodyguard . . . and nothing happens for a long, long time. But he dates the sister, is it the sister? And supermodel never finds out! Ridiculous . . . but always the serious, serious tone, as if this is a serious drama.
And Emma, for many, is obviously the best looking . . . and nothing! After years of development.
Anyone who points this out . . . is doing a service to the lurkers.
That said, I still like the game and play it. Mostly because Emma looks great, even though nothing happens with her, and because I find the story's serious tone funny. I don't think the developer sees that the story is funny . . . and that makes it even more funny to me.
All the best to all!
Yes this game lacks the kind of sexual content you seem to be interested in, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have adult content. It has plenty of adult themes, like: rape, drugs, murder, sexual coercion, and PTSD, to name a few. Yes this is an adult games forum, and I would have to argue that this game fits the bill quite well, even if it isn't your typical adult game on this site.
The story has been in the works for years, yes, but that basically means nothing. First and foremost, The development time for a VN doesn't affect where the story is, only the developers vision for the story affects this. If this VN were released in full in a single release, would you have this complaint?
"and those who say they love the story are . . . loving a story that's not even at the level of a soap opera." I don't know how to address this, this story isn't trying to be a soap opera.
"supermodel hires bodyguard . . . and nothing happens for a long, long time." This is like reading 'Lord of the Rings' and complaining that nothing happens in the early sections because Frodo isn't fighting and killing orcs.
I feel bad for you, not being able to interface with a story beyond surface level must be really challenging. into the list you go
