The relationship stuff is still in its early stages I doubt Charlotte will just say 'oh well whatever' if she finds out the mc is dating Emma or Suzi. It will take a while for her to accept it imo.
she very well could. that's what happened when Lucy revealed the relationship, Charlotte was supportive, she was even thinking about recommending Lucy to go for MC even though she made her promise not to at first...
she changed her mind quite suddenly but it was not that bad.
For me Charlotte is easily the best. I had no issue about the abrupt transitions never really thought about it that much tbh. But I kind of like the abrupt transitions to some of her romantic scenes as I felt it makes sense with the context of her trauma and what not. For me it makes the slow bur nature of her path more believable. I think there will be some smalls hints of drama with Charlotte with the side girls anyways you can already see small hints of it with her thoughts, when she gets jealous. While ive yet to play Lucy's path im glad there is no drama or competition between her and Charlotte once you pick a path. As I think Charlotte's has gone through and is currently going through enough in her life don't need to add anymore to it. Plus it's not like they are teenagers and they have a very good relationship with one another. So I think any drama between them having to compete for the MC would feel very forced , i think it's better this way personally.
actually, you can have drama with Lucy. if you go for her at first, and then switch for Charlotte, then you pretty much break her heart. it's a very short scene, and the dev clearly avoids showing Lucy too much, even though it should be a very emotional scene.
Charlotte already shows she is very jealous and possessive, there should be drama with the side girls, but it's dodged as much as possible...
it would be more interesting if Emma still develop her romantic feelings for MC, while still supporting her mom and MC relationship. the conflict in her mind and emotions would make for great scenes and character development. it makes no sense that her feelings are just turned off suddenly.
same for Lucy, even though she prioritizes her sister first, she still has very strong feelings for MC, her conflict and jealousy in trying to push them together despite her own feelings should be more emphasized.
Suzi will be up next, and that's the one with the most drama potential, fun even. she already had a bit of character development. her feelings still grow even if she knows MC is with Lucy. let's hope!
Emma is so dumb that at one point I kinda thought she deserved what happens to her (except the attack itself). it probably means Charlotte was like that when she was the same age, then you can understand how she chose the wrong guys and ignored the good guys... she probably ignored her sister's and her mom's warnings, just like Emma. so honestly, except for the assaults, she kinda deserves what happened to her. and she couldn't deal and process it for 20 years, she didn't go to therapy either to get some help in dealing with it... she wants to shoulder it all by herself but still wants people to understand and empathize with her... like dude, it's not hard, you have bad tastes in men, after 20 years, you should know and at least try to change that, especially if you are supposed to be a role model for your own daughters. Choosing the right guys, and avoiding all the traps she fell into herself should have been the first thing she taught Emma once she saw her daughter showing interest in boys... Zak had a bad reputation, it's not hard to guess how he was, and he just broke your daughter's heart, and you still send her on a date with him... come on!
Hmm, I dropped it a while ago. That sounds like a different person probably took over the writer's position. Don't know if it's the Dev themselves writing it or not since, you know, we can't see behind the scenes. But if you were able to notice an increase in the quality of the writing, that's what I get from it.
That's why you shouldn't let other people's "Hype" be a reason for you to jump into a game. Do research and keep your expectations low. When you have a thread that talks about a user more than the game and its story/characters, you know something is wrong.
i'm not sure they changed the writer, the improvement is spread over time, but I saw a clear difference because I binged it.
i would probably guess that it is just the dev getting a bit better.

When I first played this game, I was impressed by the attractive characters.
But as I watched the update, my expectations disappeared because given the speed of the update, this is not 'slow burn', but 'not burn'. and look at the situation of this game now
very slow burn is not a bad thing in itself. it can make for very good stories and characters when done right.
this one is a mixed bag, because the timeline for the relationships is more realistic (girls don't just drop their panties in the first few seconds of meeting MC), but some drama is forced and unnatural just to delay the relationship. for example Charlotte taking such a long time to come to terms with MC killing Carter, needing the whole cast to tell her "WTF, are you insane ? do you want the bad guys waiting at your door every single day?", like she couldn't even think about it herself knowing she is the victim of an assault herself and she has to deal with the bad guy every single day... sure, she values human life a ton, but having that long of an internal debate means that she values it over her own daughter's life.
