I have to disagree this is just you not liking her as a love interest. But Charlotte inner thoughts says otherwise. You could maybe say this about the MC but not even sure if that is accurate tbh because he doesn't see the bodyguard job as a job anymore but rather someone he wants to protect and stay with at all cost. If that is love well that is base on your own opinion and path id say.

Not really. The main story advanced by author, but the girl paths were quite different based on choices you have made in previous chapters. So while there was no choices here, your previous choices are what decided the path that you just went.

Exactly my point. I said in this update, not in general. I am disappointed in this update since I was just a spectator.
I was thinking the same first. But then I actually came to the conclusion that this update did not needed choices. There already were the big decisions for the Charlotte/Lucy paths and most likely for Emma also in older episodes. Not really needed to add choices for that again. The same for the Kaylah/Agent Fox side routes.
Only missing is the choice for a Suzy route, but that imo is to soon. And this update already had quite some different content for the existing routes. Branching even more only for the sake of adding choices would only cut down the content for the existing routes.

for me the parts with Charlotte and beating the shit out of Jason made up for it. Also as a bonus lewd scenes seem better than previously. But yeah I can understand that if you aren't on a path you don't care about. But then again I really don't feel like I need alot of choices in a AVN or every update , if there is enough moments I like for a path im on or good story moments. It highly depends on the AVN tho this one im perfectly fine with not having alot of choices because of the overall feel of the game. But that is just me

That jason beatdown should have been way longer, hell i wouldn't mind if it was half the update where mc methodically breaks every single bone in his body.

As satisfying as it was, I do wonder what consequences beating Jason up will have. I know that Selena said that she will take care of it, but how would that work exactly? If he dies would she be willing or able to cover up a murder for the MC?
If he survives and has any memory of the attack, he will certainly look to press charges and have the MC arrested. After killing Detective Carter the corrupt police and those around them would love another reason to arrest and kill the MC and potentially leave Charlotte vulnerable.
Sure Selena now has the pictures proving Jason's attack on Charlotte, but does that give the MC cover to not face charges?
Will that paparazzi guy disappear, or will he be pressured into being a witness of the attack on Jason?
I do have many thoughts and questions on this and can't wait for the next update.

That said, Jason has been pissing off some powerful people who are about done with his shit. He's probably going to have to go to the hospital with all the damage done to him, and they may decide to off him there rather than leave him available to testify. MC will have a solid alibi when that happens (hopefully spooning with Charlotte
) so will be cleared of any claims Jason made about him being the one to pound him into pâté.

Wouldn't be surprised if he survives the beating, but gets snuffed to frame MC.
