Emma and Suzi's childhood photos are cool. But in this regard, the question arises: WHERE is their dad? Charlotte has obvious problems with men, but having two daughters makes it undeniable that she has slept with a man at least twice. Voluntarily. And she liked it. Who is he? How did they meet? Their father left when Emma was born. He (according to Charlotte) didn't want to be part of their family, he never wanted any of them.Emma and Suzi's childhood photos are cool. That's not necessarily correct. There are a whole host of reasons that someone may or may not have an abortion.
I wouldn't trust Charlotte's words too much in this matter. In the end, she successfully hid the fact of the attack on herself from her own children. And again, that doesn't change the fact that Charlie loved this guy. She's not saying that Suzi and Emma are the result of rape.

You're just hopping from one extreme to another, and probably reading too much into things, looking for something that isn't there. I imagine that at some point Charlotte did love the girls' father, but in the end, he abandoned them. She was then badly treated by a bunch of men in her industry, and horrifically attacked by one. It's not really a big surprise that she's wary around men and takes a long time to open up to a new man who has entered her life.
Also, I missed it earlier, but as she has two children, yes it means she slept with a man on at least two occasions (excluding any other fertilisation method). It doesn't automatically mean that she liked it though. That's not anything to do with the discussion, but I just wanted to point it out!

Charlie isn't the only one telling the same story about him and the MC isn't the only one listening.
Suzi remembers her dad and not too fondly. This is a dialog between Suzi ("od") and Hannah ("odfr"):

why wouldn't she be trustworthy about this from what I understand the attack later I think probably a few years before the game started maybe 5 years at the most. So I dont think she has any reason to lie about the father to the girls because of her trauma. Especially not Lucy and she wouldn't let her lie to the girls.
The discrepancy. Suzi is 20 years old. Emma is 18 years old. If the father left the family when Emma was born, how can the eldest daughter remember him? At the age of two? So Dad lived with them for a while. This is confirmed by Lucy's dialogue with her older niece in a cafe. After the scandal she caused. Question: why did he leave? I cannot accept Charlotte's explanation. I'm not saying she's lying. She just might not be telling the whole truth.
By the way, another big question is does the girls have the same father? I'm not sure. In this regard, I have my suspicions about Harry's identity. He's too obsessed with Charlotte. A single rejection cannot be a sufficient reason for such an obsession.
That's the question. How can you remember someone you last saw when you were two years old?

where was it said she was 2 years old when he left Suzi could of been easily anywhere from 4-6. Still old enough for her to have some memories but Emma still to young to remember anything.

ah missed that. Well yeah I agree if that is the case doesn't make alot of sense.
Again, the question remains: do the girls have the same dad? I'm not sure. Because Mom treats them differently. The younger daughter is clearly more loved. To ensure her safety, Charlotte violated her own rules and hired a bodyguard. With her fear of men. At the same time, the attempt to blackmail the eldest daughter by that photographer passed her by. Although mom should have been interested when her daughter asked her for money. But it's not. It seems that Charlotte is not interested in the problems of her eldest daughter at all. Why is that?
This brings us back to a set of questions: where is he, is he alive, what kind of relationship did they have, why did he leave. Aunt Lucy should know. But even if she tells us, it certainly won't be now. Another mystery.
Not really no, I don't see them having different dads.. neither is it implied anywhere in the story.
Suzi goes out of her way to hide the blackmail by any means. Only her best friend knows. Suzi asks Charlotte for her money, and when Charlotte asks what it's needed for, Suzi gets upset and refuses to answer.
Emma was being actively stalked, and Charlotte knew about it but Emma did not. On the other hand Charlotte did not know about the texting because Emma didn't tell Charlotte about it. Emma was overprotected and sheltered, and even Charlotte realizes it later in the current story.
Suzi is a very different personality type than Emma, so yeah they would be handled very differently by parents. Can you actually imagine Charlotte trying to deal with Suzi the way she deals with Emma?
