I think that scene can be pretty easily cleared up with some hand waving storytelling.

MC chooses that he is interested in Charlotte's path pretty early on (after Lucy's choice) in the game. But very little has happened by the time Kayla propositions him the first time. The second time I think both MC and Charlotte are realizing there is something more there.

MC enters into a relationship with Kaylah and talks to Charlotte about it. Charlotte seems very impressed if you turned Kaylah down, but accepts the physical relationship. But then Kaylah seems like she is starting to catch feels for the MC. That's also around the time, if on Charlotte's path that she starts to realize there might be something more. I personally expect there will be a decision point if you are on both paths, where Charlotte will tell MC to decide. I would also suspect Kaylah, if she has got feelings, would also want the same decision, both for her and to not hurt Charlotte.

It won't be possible for the MC to have sexual relations with two women at the same time - it doesn't fit his character.

I agree that Suzi is the only one who might even consider sharing him, but she is too focused on her Olympic dream to risk that kind of distraction. Even a relationship with the MC is something she will be reluctant about.

And my current plan for Hannah is that she will be available as a one time hookup on the Suzi path, and it will have negative consequences.

What I have said is that once Hillside is finished, I'll make some standalone threesome scenes as extra content - but they won't include any incestuous pairings.

Yes. I said recently I was going to fix this after v0.16 has been released, along with some other issues.

THIS, but not just this. She's also been targeted by a sociopathic asshole, and has been bullied and gaslighted for months, which has even further broken down her personality. This is really common in cases of abuse. She has been completely sheltered since her mother's attack, except at school, where she's been cyber-bullied and taunted, and been told she's fat and disgusting. She dresses like a kid, part of the sheltering issue, but is really beautiful, yet still believes the bullying (again, quite common in abuse victims). I imagine that it's easy to feel ugly when your mom is Char. All these tend to explain her odd behavior for me.

The one benefit this game has, is that the pathing is not a tangled mass of variables and situations that have to be taken into account. It does have branching yes, but it's kept (in my opinion) very well pruned so it's not out of control. This has definitely helped keep the testing pretty expedited.
