Emma is a love interest in the game. The idea is that if MC does not pursue her mother, Emma's could evolve to see MC as more that just a father figure. The love interests of the game are clear from day one, and hasn't changed yet : Charlotte, Lucy, Suzi, Emma. Only those four. Potential side girls, but LIs is limited to these four. The idea of "grooming" Emma comes from Emma actually acting 15 instead of 18 (due to being sheltered). As she is legal adult now there is no grooming involved. However remember the phone screen from Carter hijacking scene - it clearly shoes "Dad" as contact for the MC - so I do not think the developers will go that way, although thankfulness can go far
Point of fact, adults can be groomed as that only refers to the behaviors of a predator to control a victim; child predators will many times groom the parents as well to control their victim and keep them from exposing their crime. Sadly it happens more than you think. As she is legal adult now there is no grooming involved.
At the risk of not getting the joke: No, Emma is not grooming the MC.MC in Emma path:

MC refers to all of them this way at first as a professional gesture. Later he gets less formal.I've gone through a fair portion of this game and I'm curious, why are Charlotte and Emma both referred to as Miss Lloyd, it's usually customary to call the older one (if unmarried) Miss and the younger one Ms I may make the change in my version of the game because to me it makes more sense than calling both 'miss'. Not suggesting this be changed globally though, just pointing out my thoughts about this one thing I spotted.
I see, it just felt a little awkward to me is all, but I'm more than happy to leave it if this is how the dynamic of the game is supposed to be effectively portrayed. I guess this way of thinking just comes from the way I was taught the English language.MC refers to all of them this way at first as a professional gesture. Later he gets less formal.
