this kid David is a minor character. and there really is no difference between him and Emma. they are both shy kids with crushes they have a hard time talking about with the object of their affection. sure David is obsessed with Emma but Emma was obsessed with Zak. so no difference. if the game gets continued in the future these 2 should have some scenes together. most likely they would be friends only since Emma doesn't seem to like him. he will be stuck in the friendzone, which could make him a future stalker problem for Emma. also Jenny seems like she could be using Emma to try to get closer to MC since she obviously is crushing on MC. as for Suzi, what a pshycho. might replay at some point and see where potential relationships with Lucy or Kaylah go, but for now, too many other games to catch up on.
ultimately i liked this update and really hope Darkblue continues with it in the future.

I understand Dev burnout completely, but it would suck if this game became abandoned.
Unfortunately, game devs feeling burned out... It normally goes one way!

Again: there where two choices in the new content of v0.12. Sorry you did not have it in your playthrough. But that's because you made decisions in the past so you can't get the ones now in the latest update.

Damn DEV, You've made a freaking good awesome game. Brilliant story, beautiful game and chars. Also thank you for no constant fucking scenes each 4mins, this game is really really good.

Hillside is deffo one of the best VNs I had the pleasure to "read". I like the flow of the story. I don't even care about sex or anything. Just the relationship between MC and the family is good enough. I thought that killing part was too much and I said that when ep.11 was released. But it seems like the Developer read some discussions about his VN and found a way to work through it. I am glad that Zach is a closed chapter. But things won't still be easy for MC and Charlotte's family while Harry is still alive. Hopefully FBI will get rid of him soon. I don't think there is a need of MC kill anyone anymore.

We already know that in normal circunstances he would answer for killing Carter. He got a free pass from this crime, but He wouldn't get another if he kills someone else deliberately.

In December when I usually do some donations, DarkBlue will deffo be on the list this time, since many VN devs disappointed me this year.

Now the only question I have is what was the last thing Charlotte wanted to tell MC when he was about to leave her room. I suppose I will only know on the next update.

Having the MC go to Wendys and have to decide between a Spicy Chicken sandwich and a 10 piece spicy nugget with just enough cash to buy one, was just cruel. I went the 10 piece route

Ok, played the update. It was a typical Hillside update, nothing bad or alarming. Yeah, I am a Suzi fan, so I still miss content with her, but that is my own issue, the VN is fine as it is.

I definitely like Hillside, but I continue to be baffled why Suzi has such a small role in the game. It's like dev started with the basic setup of mother + two daughters (one bitchy and one goodie goodie), but then the game completely swung one way that one of the daughters just got swept away that there's no spot for her in the game.

The latest update was the perfect moment to integrate Suzi into the good life. MC had helped her with the blackmail in the past, and MC had just literally saved Emma's life. Then for some reason Suzi's reaction was complete anger and hatred toward MC. The game has been in development for more than 2 years, and I still have zero idea what Suzi's role is meant to be. Even side characters like Keylah and FBI Lady seem to have more relevance in the game.
