DarkBlue said in a prior post (either here or on Discord) that there will be a Suzi route and also acknowledged that the foundations for it weren't properly set up in the earlier releases. At that time he said there is a plan to rework the earlier interactions to deal with that for future releases. The phone call in this new episode feeds into that, where Suzi reluctantly admits how she handled the creep at the bar and is surprised to hear MC's response supporting her actions, whereas her mother would have berated her for it. Once she moves back home (and they deal with who gets to sleep in her room) there will be a lot more definition to her path.

This doesn't make sense, the DA can't stop an FBI investigation.

DA stands for "district attorney", which is a state level position. The F in FBI stands for Federal, state DAs can't instruct the FBI on what not to investigate.

There is also no such position as "Chief".

The chain of command goes like this;

Director
Deputy Director
[CID Branch]
Executive Assistant Director
Assistant director

CID would be the branch investigating the situation in this VN and there is no DA anywhere that can instruct the FBI on what not to investigate.

Also any attempt to interfere with the investigation would be reported higher up the CoC which would trigger an internal investigation at a higher level.
So unless the claim is that some worthless Hollywood Hillside fucks can control the ENTIRE FBI from the Director down, then none of this plot line makes any sense.

Now lets say that the Director is in their pocket, just for argument sake.
Then the situation could be reported to the AG, DOJ and DoNI.
There is no way to keep this from being investigated and the higher up it gets, the more out of control of the corrupt elements it gets.

Also every field office has a representative for the DoNI.
You can't buy off everyone and not have the situation go public, it isn't possible because if it was it'd already have been done.


I think the author is confusing FBI with local police.

If you want to make shit up so that your plot can work, then make it up, but don't use real agencies without knowing how it all works, it just looks dumb.
Loads of Authors seem to want to make the USA [or other western countries] a stetting for their story but don't actually know anything about how it actually is in the USA [or other western countries].

I find it perfectly plausible that it would take so much chapters for Charlotte to dare to kiss the MC on the lips or not cower in terror from a simple hug. I believe it takes MC half that time to come to terms with the idea of Lucy owning him and surrender to her constant attacks (on her path, of course). It looks absolutely in place that with Emma it will take even longer to build a romantic relationship than with Charli. Cause she's compeletely naive and inexperienced teenager in a body of the young woman, and the age gap still has its effect.

But with Suzi, I think it's unpredictable. She's the type who wants to slit the MC's throat today, but tommorow she would want to ride him until he begs for mercy. Suzi is spontaneous, and she obviously needs a good dicking to at least relieve all that stress of a tough training schedule, responsibilities for being the team leader, worries about her little sis and the Jonas situation at the top of the pile.

She's one of the Lloyds who strikes me as the kind of person who might start out in a no-strings-attached relationship and later fall in love with the MC. On the other hand, she seems to have no experience with men at all, at least this part of her life is vaguely covered in the game.

Oh no, that means that most likely all your savegames are going to lose compatibility. It'll be necessary to start the game all over again.

Not necessarily. What usually breaks a save is an undefined variable that gets referenced which got added to a prior script. It's fairly easy on a new/update script module to set up a condition where it checks for whether a variable is already defined and if it isn't to set it to a value.

it is just like in this game, there are so many other mercenaries or corrupt individuals

Every self respecting game or movie about FBI has a constant reminder: they are thoese who lay in wait
RECORDING BAD GUYS AS THEY KEEP KILLING, BECAUSE THEY WANT THEIR SMOKING GUN
AND WOULD NOT BOTHER STOP THEM WITH MERE WITNESSES.
The FBI is lurking and does not want to show their hand to the local police, precisely for the reasons you have stated.
Have a look at organised crime trials in USA and how even having them on tape for murders did not amount to nothing,
most mobsters were arrested and tried after THEY HAD KILLED ALMOST ALL THEIR TAGETS OR EVEN MOVED ON.

Charlotte cannot treat her security detail as a stranger and keep him outside her periphery.
She has to treat him like a brother and having him mimic a lover would have shielded her from literally everyone.
She coulda made a fictional story about him being from overseas, or even cosa nostra from the old continent:
Nobody would even look her way, let alone engage the MC. Alas .. this game wanted to go the boring long route
of so many movies before.

Imagine if MC had escorted Emma to the basement in the first chapter and she had jumped on him and used him as if he was her teddy bear. No hugs, no cuddling, no handholding, no movie nights with Zack's wonderful films, no weird dreams about the MC. Would you like to play this?
