Sometimes, Harem games are alright. But I agree. This game doesn't work as one. I love the fact you can chose whom to go after, and have multiple play-throughs to see it all. Right now, I'm going with the mom. But about to restart and go for the aunt next time.

100% the story here makes a harem untenable

That being said Joshy92 -- I often play harem games because the huge majority of devs make nothing but COW tits
as I truly enjoy and prefer the "below B cup" lady if it was not for harems I would have maybe 7 AVNs to enjoy.

Also not all the stories are bad and the better formula is to start with a Queen of the harem who wants to add women and put in reluctant women or women who take a while to be convinced so they are not just 100% on board after 2 sentences.

For this VN I was resigned to having only Lucy to be of interest but man DB did a great job making Emma just have that... something in how she is written that makes me like her so much in spite of her not being more petite (small tits) or a redhead. So it really is a compliment to the writing that I am so into Emma.

I think I don't like harems because I like to take these games very seriously most of the time and I feel like I can't do that with harems because they don't feel realistic.

And tbh whether harems or not I find most games to be typical trope filled messes. Thats why I love this game so much it doesn't focus on boring stuff like sex scenes.

Only way I can enjoy a harem is if I disconnect myself from the realism aspect of it and I play just for the characters or story but not the romance and even then cant be a big one, as I find romance lackluster in most harems I have tried. Which is one reason it would never work in this game , this game is full of romance but if this had a harem it would kill any spark of romance and feel very forced and lose what makes this game so good. Which is why im happy this game will never be a harem. It's one reason this game is special for me as it's rare to find one that is full of romance , and good characters while being a solo path game and has a decent story to boot usually 1 of these suffers in other solo path games. I think even a throuple path would ruin this game in my eyes.
