I do recall him saying that part about David now that it's been mentioned to me. I wish game dev's(In general) that post content after long periods of time made a quick recap to go along with it. All they'd have to do is re-use a few scenes and add a skip recap button. I can't read through a 6+ hour game after every single update that comes out. It'd be a nice QoL feature.

Yeah that is a feature of BADIK that people have come to rely on, that little rundown of what has happened so far set to the title music before every update. I'm not sure how much development time or data bloat it takes up, though.

There were many inconsistencies in the latter scenes.
Carter : mc didn't know his involvement in all of this but why did Carter suddenly decided to bring it all on the table as if it was the last thing he would do? And he also got the upper hand by making emma a hostage but suddenly decided to let her go to mano 'o mano with mc knowing he is ex-military.
Zak : this sonova bitch deserves to die but not like this, it was a stupid death. I thought the mc or suzie would be the one to beat the hell out of him in front of emma after knowing his intentions. And he's already planning his scheme for so long, he also said that it would be tough to corrupt/break emma but why did he suddenly snap like that by telling emma his true intentions just because she didn't want him to touch her on their first date?
The game have been good written from the start, it's just weird to me how it turn out now. Unless the developer have more surprises waiting in the upcoming updates. Maybe mc didn't kill carter, just made him unconscious. Or maybe zak didn't died for whatever reason....

It's been a while, but I managed to track down an older version of the game (0.4) ...
Although, It should be noted that DB must have had reason for removing/editing this scene, and seeing this probably goes against the author's intentions for how you are meant to experience the game.

Speaking of emma, anyone else notice the render where her phone said dad(In one of the Carter scenes)? It was a nice touch.
I wonder how Emma will be made a LI in this game(I don't believe there will only be a father-daughter relationship, especially not with the exit screen being a censored picture of her naked body and the aforementioned nude scene in the comment above). Should be interesting.

A number of girls grope emma, zack gropes emma,
while MC who is living and breathing and caring for emma for such a long time
only gets to express concirn and be there to see her stunning beauty.
That asshole outlived his stake in the story long ago.
We got a lot of new villains introduced and some old ones get swift retribution
for their troubles.
MC is officially last line of deffense against killers out for charli. Point blank and plain.
We get a front row seat to what it feels and looks and thinks like,
when you stand barehanded in the street, alone, smack center between killers and your girls.
You can mourn the rapists and the killers all you want now ... in their long overdue deaths.

Now that the Detective shanked Prince charming for all of mankind, Her romantic interests will obviously fall to the MC from once seeing him as a father figure to now a lover and her hero.
I can already see the internal monolog Emma gonna be having in future updates.
Only question I have for Emma is if she'll go to her mother/aunt and ask for advice creating future conflict(s) or will she just go for it behind their backs.

Charlotte probably will distance herself (again) from the MC anyway, so Emma will have clear path.

Did you forget that Carter is totally a psycho?
Why Carter killed Zak: his idea was to kill him and wait with Emma for MC & Charlotte - Zak's dead body near his car would have lead MC & Charlotte to him and Emma. MC installed the app in Emma's phone, so they tracked her down faster - as Carter noticed - and without finding Zak.
Regarding Zak: he was a stupid teenager who thought that he was owning the whole world just because some stupid teens spread their legs whenever he snapped his fingers. His actions have been totally coherent with his character.
Honestly, I can't understand why people always start criticizing whenever the story take a turn they didn't expect. It's NOT your story, guys. It's the Author's.

Well, first of all, I agree with you when you say it's the author's story and although we can complain, we'll have to live with what they decide.
However, I believe DB could've made some small changes in this last part of the update to make it more believable. From this perspective, I agree with others here on criticizing not the outcome itself, but the format.
Going to the detail:
- Zak is (was) stupid, but using at least a minimum of common sense, he should've known that revealing all his plans to Emma made no sense at all, or at least if he still had hope to fuck Charlotte. I mean, he could've blamed Emma of being the one who ruined their date because she was a prude and at the same time he'd still be letting the door open to a second date, ask for forgiveness, meet Charlotte again, etc. I mean, pretending to fuck her in their first date made sense at the beginning but when you have a higher goal, you need to learn and adapt to the new conditions. So, was this behavior (what he did in the scene) sort of coherent with his stupid mind? Yes. Did DB have alternatives to extend this part of the plot and make it more interesting? Indeed.
- Regarding Carter, and knowing he's a psycho, I'd say almost all the scene is ok but there's something wrong. After the initial cut, there wasn't much of a fight (the MC was way stronger and skilled in these matters). From a witness perspective, the MC killed Carter when he (Carter) had no options to fight back. For us there was no other possible solution to this problem but I think DB should've added something else to justify Carter's death. I don't know, maybe him drawing his gun, even if he could only point at the women and wasn't a real threat to the MC (something like that).

yup, it seems as the dev is just rushing to finish this game asap, unfortunately.
the last update has more than few questionable points, and it does seem as someone else (not previous writer) has wrote it.
despite the severe lack of sex-scenes, for an average adult game, this game had an engaging story and characters well wrapped into believable (A)VN...and now it starts to fall apart, imo.

The murderer never changed, he keeps forging plans and foiling everyone else”s plans
he never had to change his way.
All of the vilains have been winning all this time. Even the stalker managed to sell zak the photos,
MC just stopped him from getting any more, what he has is now who knows in what hands.
One small win for MC and you are all at dev and MC”s throats.
