I've been quietly following this game for a while, but I have to say... Yeah! More Suzi!
Anyway, to recap:

He isn't the only one suffering. Emma is also my top girl and she just continues to feel like the forgotten girl. Suzi literally got reworked stuff to progress her path faster while Emma just gets nothing, why does suzi get better treatment. Just feels bad.
I am just sad, cause Emma will always feel forgotten and neglected in my eyes, just wish she was treated better and her path progressed faster.

Been catching up with Hillside this whole evening. My previous stop was all the way back where you must choose between Kaylah and Selena (it was a difficult choice for me at the time), so there's a lot of content I haven't played yet. Having not played this long, I began to worry that maybe my memories of Hillside overrate it, but no, I'm still loving the story and the characters. The additional sex scenes from the rework come in handy as well, really showing the girls' different characters. I actually don't mind the absence of animations, but I thought the scenes could use a few more static renders. Still, I remain of the opinion that it's one of the two best AVN stories I played.
The game is good at first, but then it gets boring and tedious. There are few paths to follow, few options, few scenes. If you don't choose Lucy's path, it quickly becomes a "family" game. I hope it improves someday! It has that potential!

It comes down to why to play said AVN for I think. Personally I prefer animations good or bad doesn't matter to me. But an AVN like this it doesn't matter to me because this isn't an AVN you play for porn. Of course I would like to see the current scenes and future ones with them if I had a choice but not even a big deal to me here. For me animations are only a must if I play it for the porn only and not because I like the game for other reasons.
Well, if Old saves don't work, this game goes in the recycle bin. It was a good game but i'm not starting over

Excuse you. I don't invest anything of myself into these games early on, so no. My feelings weren't hurt until the two-hundredth time she was still a cunt to the MC despite him still being a decent gentleman to her and dating her sister... (exaggeration)
That's great that you're interested in such a ... rewarding ... romance. It wasn't for me, and since I don't find Charlotte at all attractive, her attitude gets no slack from me.

No 'edge', she is all confrontation, which yes, her career and trauma have honed to a fine point. But she needles the MC unprofessionally and well past even her trauma dumping on him should excuse. Which sure, for the sake of the "destined lovers dragging each other out of the crab bucket" trope nonsense "romance".. whatever. It's clear I'm not the intended audience, that isn't a story that resonates with me. Just as I can't stand the toxic Robert/Invisagal pairing in Dispatch - why would you want your MC to hook up with a sociopathic bully?
Yes. Excusable to an extent? Sure, but still 100% wrong.
Ironically I'm more willing to give Suzi slack. She was raised to bear the burden of her Mother's trauma, she needs therapy just as badly as Charlotte does, just for different reasons.
That said, she is also not good looking enough to get any slack cut... and I was already involved with best girl Lucy so... even if Suzi were to suddenly warm up to the MC and throw herself at him, no dice.
I play these games for the story and since the story isn't going to significantly change, I won't bother. But I'm sleeping on it going forward till it's done, I'm tired of 'replaying' just to get half a chapter further*... "hurry up and wait" only works when you're paying my salary.
* Three times my saves have broken and one if those times was corruption to database move that I know off, so I'm not blaming the dev, it's just how these things are.
Dude... you already know the answer, here you posted it yourself a little bit later:
Code is the foundation of a game, the best time to relay the foundation is yesterday, the second best time is today, the worst time is after the house has been built... you don't finish building a game on top of shaky code or worse code you know you have to rework. The problems will only compound and multiply and you'll have a larger rework later down the road.
You rip it out and rebuild it now before you keep building with that "shaky code" or those wonky variables, you pull it all up, redo what needs redoing and then use clean(er) code and your fresh variables going forward. That way the dev doesn't run into a snag two chapters down the road where the game won't load and they can't figure out why and have to either spend four times as long fixing it or worse, abandon it...
Because for me appearance is partial based on personality and for a long time Charlie was just ugly.
