I replayed this game because of the rework, and I have to say that I have kind of lost the passion. It doesn't give me the same joy as I felt back then. Back then, I thought Emma was cute and her innocence was endearing. During the replay, I kept on thinking how she is an 18 year old girl acting like she was 10 years old and how jarring it is. In the original version, I didn't want to romance Emma because I wanted to protect her. After the rework, I didn't want to romance Emma because I kind of dislike her.

I also felt like there is a problem with how the main plot ties with the character development. Because the plot heavily revolved around Emma and Charlotte, the result is that Suzi and Lucy felt like outsiders. Even after the rework which is an improvement by including Suzi more, she still felt like a side character simply because she doesn't live in the same house and therefore, not having the same relationship development as Charlotte and Emma. It is jarring to see Suzi still hating on MC when Charlotte and Emma have become super close with MC simply because she didn't get to experience what they had.

I'm sure I'll be fine continuing forward, just thought I'd share how different my experience is between the original and the rework despite them being essentially the same game.

I mentioned Suzi’s inconsistent attitude toward the MC in a Patreon post, and it will be fixed before the next update.

Unfortunately, I missed a couple of her later scenes during the rework, but her attitude toward the MC will still swing back and forth because she’s deeply conflicted. On one hand, she identifies him with her father and projects a lot of buried anger onto him. On the other, she’s physically attracted to him in a very primal way that she can’t control. And for someone like Suzi, not being in control is unsettling.

It doesn’t help that the MC is trying to stay professional and not react to her testing him, which frustrates her even more. This love/hate back-and-forth is what makes their relationship so intense and passionate, and it’s why things will move quickly between them.

I did not realize you see that as a mistake. I always thought it shows her inner battle towards MC, also she is not a romantic person but a logical one, I dare say she is proud of being one. So as she sees, focusing on her training and dating Chase is the logical choice here but she is struggling because she does feel something towards MC. It is a struggle because chasing MC would be a Hillside scandal at least, it will jeopardize her Olympian goals, it will hurt Charlotte's reputation etc. still can't stop herself. So having inconsistencies for both as attitude and inner thoughts is only make sense. It was the same before the rework also, you could see it from the beach talk with Lucy. So that is kinda surprising that dev see this as a mistake, I thought a rare approach to a love path in VNs. Like showing she has a brain unlike many games around here that any LI just became mindless whores to their MCs.

Other than that, I have a problem with how you handled the love between MC&Lucy&Charlotte. If MC in relation with Lucy, Charlotte does not see MC as a love interest and give blessing to them and all. I kinda feel the choice I made to seek a relationship with Lucy worthless.(the choice itself, not the relationship) It almost seems like Charlotte acts MC a hand-down gift to Lucy, like if she wanted to keep MC she could have and all MC&Lucy relationship is possible because she does not see MC as a love interest. But as far as the story goes, if MC did not choose Lucy and did everything else same with Charlotte then she would head over heels. I honestly, really did not like this. I purposefully chose Lucy over Charlotte, even if she wanted I'd choose Lucy over her. Yet, the story goes other way around. So maybe a point system could have been a better choice there, like if you collect certain points with Charlotte she fell for MC whether MC choose Lucy or not but if MC choose Lucy over her, she respects the choice. Like she goes I feel sad only man safe and love is already taken but I feel happy because he is taken by my sister.

I'm generally happy with it, but in a couple of places her attitude is a little too hostile and suspicious given everything that has happened. Just needs tweaking slightly, nothing big.

Okay. Thanks for your feedback. I'll look into it when I get the chance.

With the relationhships that can develop, it would've been nice to have the option for harem. I hate choosing one over another, but I know that's the point... still jarring. This rework could do with another rework, perhaps make Emma less of a little girl next time too, she acts 12 instead of 18.

would make zero sense for this to be a harem

When a dog has nothing better to do, it licks its balls. Russian proverb.
So, instead of creating new content, the author decided to completely remake everything. What the hell, a loser pays on Patreon. The main thing is that the money keeps coming.

Did you even play it? He added a few scenes for Suzi the game is not completely remade. And it was for a good reason. So that Suzi's story fits in better with the overall plot.
