Stick with it, she does get better (on both the romance and friend path).

Charlotte does get better, but she is a really hard character to like. As her backstory is revealed and her scars shown you can sort of understand why she is the way she is...

Honestly Charlotte is the reason I love LI with trauma because to me she is shown how to do it right. Granted it is very very slow burn so won't be for everyone but I prefer this especially with characters with trauma. Funny thing when I first played this game I was going for Lucy but as things were revealed I ditched Lucy for Charlotte .

Charlotte is probably one of the nicest LI ive seen in a game if im being honest at least when her trauma doesn't get in the way of things.

it's Clear the MC is going a bit rogue and only tell them shit when he feels he has to tell them. So I think it makes perfect sense for his character even if it doesn't make the most sense to do. I mean Later he almost kills a guy because he didn't want them to get involved as he knew they would stop him. So to me it's clear he doesn't trust them to do the job well enough because of corruption etc.

He doesn't tell Charlotte because he doesn't want to get her hopes up, without knowing exactly what evidence the guy has. Emma is also right there and he doesn't want to alarm her. He doesn't tell Agent Fox partly for the same reason as Charlotte and partly because he doesn't believe that they can get the job done. They've been rather ineffective so far.
