oh no, I do have experience with VNs, and I know many have the same problem. But, they having that problem is no excuse. That's like a student saying he's doing fine with school because his classmates are also having trouble with their qualifications. This game does have some choices, as you mentioned, earlier on the game. But, later sections seems to ignore (a little bit) those choices. For example, I was playing Kaylah route and MC keeps thinking "but I wanna be with Charlotte". Then, why did I choose Kaylah if the game wants MC to be with Charlotte? Also, as this is not my 1st time playing the game (I had to change laptop) there was a moment when I skipped some dialogues and that was like, no kidding, 2-3 minutes with no interaction at all. Anyway, game is nice enough for me to keep playing but well, just wanted to air out mi thoughts.funny enough, you got like 10 replies for "tie" (including the dev himself), yet no reply for "choices dont matter" thing.
so apparently im the only one who will respond to the second thing - if you have found choices dont matter here that shows your lack of experience with AVNs
all kidding aside, there are clearly defined paths and choices leading to them, though it isnt always obvious.
this is not happy fappy pokemon collector game where mc can "play" all chicks, at least till some point.
here, based on choices, mc quite early locks himself out of certain paths...considering choices arent that frequent, particularly later in the game, it could seem as "kinetic" or "fake choices game", yet it is far from it (talking about girls paths only ofc).
and that is the why most players around like it and play it...the other reason ofc is bimbo emma
