Honestly, ripping off the old Akabur (Princess Trainer and Witch Trainer specifically) has its merits so long as they adapt it to the games made today.

At its core concept, a Witch Trainer knock-off that allows you free exploration has its merit as long as they don't full Innocent Witches.

Hmm. I hope it will become good game. I liked My little Angel (though,later, it kinda went wrong direction that i wanted it to be) and i remember really laughing a lot from that Jesus mini quest. The lewd knight is also good but there were so many unnecessary unskippable animations that repeated over and over that after losing save once, next update i couldn't return to it.
Spin-off of witch trainer is something i would play too.

I also feel like I remember him saying that Magic Lessons had more or less been planned out and he expected to focus on it and make rapid progress throughout 2025.

Not a patron so can't see details but at the very least his post history on patreon appears fairly active. Though this game isn't mentioned as far as I bothered to scroll. His itch account also doesn't seem to list this as a current project either so seems it's in the indefinite hiatus pile for him. As to why I couldn't say.
