Very refreshing update so far. The UI improvements as a whole are most welcome, and as always, no complain about the new content. I still have many things to do, but I don't expect anything going terribly wrong, as Darkhound seems to have always applied "good practices" in coding, and not many people can say that nowadays.

There's a thing I don't understand though... If people know this is not a clicky VN, but a sandbox style game (the best in the site so far, tbh), why some keep complaining about this being "grindy", specially when this is far from being grindy? All decent sandbox games in here are like 5 times more grindy than this one. I can say this because I personally RUN away from VN with few exceptions. I usually dislike those a lot and prefer the more "rpg-sandbox" approach. I guess being a gamer since I have memory has helped haha

Also, some people time ago did a list of how to get laid a LOT in a single day, and it's not that difficult to get up and running, not to get to that level of lewdness, but idk, 3 or 4 on a single day is nothing complicated with minimum planning. Some people are really that clueless that when they have to use their brains even a little bit it seems like it fries or something?
I don't mean to be disrespectful to anyone, but that is what it looks like xD

You still have to jump through all the hoops you did the first time to experience something that should be a noticeable change to any of the characters. You may as well be playing groundhog day. Thats not to mention content that just doesn't show up because the parameters can possibly never happen in your game.

That is why I use the companion mode, u can tweak the girls stats, it's reallt fun like that

oh ive been tweaking stats since the game came out. I'm talking about about things like the sauna only being availible for 2 days and no one ever shows up. I've been working a new save, but so far it still bugs out and never happens. Yumiko's beach bar scenes was a similar situation before he put in a fix for it.

but the bigger issue is that every scene you get is simply just a replay of scenes encountered for the first time. There is no progress with characters beyond achievement unlocks and stats on the phone. Takes the feeling of progress out of the game and just makes it a statline for me. Cheapens the experience.

That, and well, I'm still waiting to have sex with Aly 6 years later. I mean first girl introduced back in .01 and still, no sex. But Yvette got more scenes

Companion mod for Holiday Island 0.3.1.x and later (mod version 0.1.3)

Hello everyone!

This is the new version 0.1.3 of the companion mod for Holiday Island ver. 0.3.1.x and later.

The mod has been created by Niceerotica and myself.
The mod is a cheat tool for the main game Holiday Island.
Some of you might already know earlier versions of the mod. So here is a list of what the mod can do and of what's new.

• the mod can always be used, even in the middle of a scene or an event
• it offers a variety of option to change attributes of the player (MC)
  - first name and last name can be changed (bugs have been fixed now)
  - all effects (good or bad) can be added and removed with the click of a mouse. If an effect has several levels, clicking on the effect another time will increase the effect strength
  - all player attributes like strength, endurance, lust, etc. can be adjusted
• it offers a lot of possibilities to change the stats of each girl
  - you can switch between outfits (use at your own risk during a scene, you might get crashes or missing images).
  - room number, breast size, poker skill, almost anything can be made visible or adjusted
  - all the regular stats like affection, love, lust can be changed too
• every non quest item you can buy or get through other means can be added to your inventory with the "inventory manager" of the mod
• it now displays the location of each (regular) girl and even allows to change it
• it allows to switch the general cheats on and off (rollback at hotshots and you can see who has teh winning hand at poker)
• Sara's special self tan lotion can be added once you have finished the quest line

How to "install" the mod:
On PC: Extract the content of the attached zip file into the folder where you installed your Holiday Island main game.
On a Mac: Navigate further down in the folder where you installed your Holiday Island game, until you see a folder named game. Extract the content into this folder (not into the folder named game, but into the folder where you can see "game" as a folder).

There's a typo in the scene with Ivy in the blue dress at the night bar.
When talking to Yumiko, it says "Ivy" instead of "Yumiko".

Delete the images that are displayed on the picture wall in your player room. One of them is bugged.

the hacking did not change, i think the developer made a smal mistake hat has the hacking progress and another symbol on the same position. look at the text and you can see it also there is another symbol behind the progress symbol

Doesn't look like that on my screen. Do you have a save file to check it?

EDIT: neverrmind, found the bug. It only happens when you do not already have the new player room.
Will be fixed with the next update to 0.3.7.1

Did you tried to talk to her at the nightbar ?
Also check the quest logs, maybe there is an hint, I don't remember.

The same save games can be used with or without the mod. Doesn't matter if it is installed or not.

the zip download should give you a folder named "game" somewhere insiden it. You want to merge that folder with the "game" folder inside of your game install location
