Is the update going to break save games?
0.2.3.2 beta --> Save games from 0.0.8 and later can still be used. Earlier saves are no longer supported.

Hi guys and gals, this post offers you a collection of news about the next full version of Holiday Island (0.3.0 beta).
The change log below is based on the beta 0.2.3.0 release.

The next main release is 0.3.0 beta which will be a new full update for Windows, Linux and Mac. It will include a lot of new features and some bug fixes as well.
As of right now, the update from 0.2.3.0 to 0.3.0 has:

New features and content
- Yvette gets another appointment at the beach during sunset --> still working on it
- Yvette gets an event where she visits the MC in the underground lab --> still working on it
- Miriam gets a scene in the MC's room inside the underground lab --> still working on it
- Sara, the second new characters, gets a scene where she shows the MC to his room in the lab facility and you learn some more about her background --> still working on it
- Daniela, one of the new characters, gets a scene where the MC gets an MRI and is examined and treated by the doctor --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- We finally get access to the secret research lab, where two new special characters are introduced --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Alice gets a quest for some new lingerie, some sexting images and a new achievement --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Yvette gets a quest for some new lingerie, some sexting images and a new achievement --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- The MC gets an X-Ray at the doctor's office, Miriam provides some distraction, and permission to enter the secret underground lab is granted --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- A new scene when the MC jogs at the beach and hurts himself will be added. It's a scene with Miriam that leads to the discovery of the underground lab --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Desire gets a new arrival scene that replaces the old one --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Yvette's pole dance scene has been completely redone with high res images. It has two achievements now and is completely non generic --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Aly gets a random event in her room with three achievements, that involves different cosplays and some intimate actions --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- A new special action (pose butt) has been added for Amy, Alice and Jessica. More character will follow later --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Natasha gets a second arrival scene with a new "on the plane" story and some additional renders --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Natasha's arrival scene has been re-rendered in 2560x1440 and some new images have been added. The dialogue is now also completely different between the first and later arrival scenes --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Yvette gets a new scene when she's standing in her door wearing just a towel --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Alice gets and additional strength training appointment that is repeatable --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Alice's event where she's struggling with the weights at the gym has been completely remade. There is also an achievement now --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Alice will get an update for her strength training appointments. All images will be re-rendered in 2560x1440 webp format --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- You get access to the girls' profile pages through your phone. That's the one with the about section and the four preview images on the right --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- The girls' phone preview picture can be changed directly from the new overview screen --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- You can remove the gap between the picture frames in the new player room now --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Image quality when special actions like groping etc. are shown on the phone has been improved --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Natasha gets two new sexting and three new dream images --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- The phone gets a new character overview screen with more information and direct (1 click) access to all girl related data and achievements --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- When you already have an appointment for the next day and stay up until after 02:00, none of the actions in the player room is useable --> will be fixed with 0.3.0.0
- When the doctor is talking, sometimes a wrong name is displayed --> will be fixed with 0.3.0.0

I really like the fact that darkhound1 takes the time to develop new characters and their background stories before introducing them.

How to read the development info (duck style).
Done
The lab area, 2 new girls, main introduction events and 4 additional events leading up to or taking place there are done.
Worked on
3 additional events inside the lab are being worked on and in various stages of partial completion.
What does that mean?
The done status for the primary lab entry is the confirmation that the major and critical hurdle has been cleared.
The area is entering the normal development flow of being filled out with additional content, story bits and girls having fun.
We know this for certain as the primary lab entry is marked done and the new working on it are all of the scene/event content types.
So while unlikely to be just around the corner it also means v3.0 is entering its next stage (duration unknown, I'll not make a guess on that).
Speculation (beyond release v3.0)
Relevant to note is the lab area and theme looks to be a substantial entry, one beyond what is seen for other locations in the game so far.
It is therefore reasonable to speculate that it will be a recurring and major source of new events and story content, also after v3.0 is released.
Simple facts of life
The doctor is both cute and smoking hot.
Since she likes ducks, she is now mine, lab's closed due to duck infestation, bye bye
(the rest of you will get a bandaid on your busted foot and and a bag of icecubes to be your new best friend)

It is a well known fact that Yvette and Iris have long worried over leaving their duck cold each time they have to go and extract Darkhound from Amy's big ti...assets.
So they wanted to keep their duck warm.
And decided a skilled and professional B&B would be preferable (that's Brainy and Busty btw).
That left Joy and the Doctor
Joy would invite 18 others girls and bring drugs and try to snuggle their duck.
Which might sound fun, but having Faye get stuck in the door, Jessica in Desire, Eva in elevators, Heather in cosplay, Amy and Alice in the shower and Ivy in the hallways is ... well it is a big job to clean up.
By comparison, the doctor will feed their duck when hungry, snuggle it when cold and welcome a /quack in the morning

So as we have found out recently you are good at counting days and stating about how long time has passed by from the last update. Now we can see you like to state the obvious and ask what can be considered pointless.
As I said last time your comment/statement/question will not bring about a sudden rush of development and the next release straight away.
To answer your question about "Will this be released before the end of this year?"
It was answered in this post which was just below the last Development news...
I do not have any exact info on the time scale, lots of things affect it and even unexpected things can happen to change it, but its safe to say it will not be long before the next release.How to read the development info (duck style).

Don't worry, I am sure it will be worth the wait, and you can get your "Full save" file back up to full again quickly, ready to post out for validation from all the people who can not be bothered to play the game to download and use.
