Personally, I have no interest in anal sex, but really don't care if others do; consequently, I'm fine with darkhound's stated intention not to include anal sex in Holiday Island. WRT opinions about various vaginal sex positions in general, and Cowgirl in particular, I'm cool with most positions (including Cowgirl; Reverse Cowgirl slightly less so, but I'm not opposed to it). My "thumbs up" was specifically for the stats graphic, as I found it interesting.

Is that sufficiently enlightening?

Partly yes, entirely, no.

Version 0.3.7 - development news (updated 5th of December 2022)

Hi guys and gals,

this post offers you a collection of news about the next version of Holiday Island (0.3.7).​
You can see the main focus and side areas for the next update in the above image.

The change log below is based on the release 0.3.6.0.​
As of right now, the update from 0.3.6.0 to 0.3.7.0 has:
527 additional renders, videos or sound files
66 backgrounds for the new phone
354 updated renders​

New features and content
  • Ivy gets a new night bar drink scene in her blue dress --> still working on it, renders are done
  • Ivy gets a new night bar drink scene in her basic outfit --> still working on it, renders are done
  • Alice's arrival scene gets an update to the renders and the dialogue --> still working on it, renders are done
  • Lacey's pool play scene has been remade with her updated character. This concludes her conversion. --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Yvette gets an update to the event where you catch her in her room having a shower --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Yvette gets a new shower scene with the MC in her room --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Yvette gets an update to her pool swim scene with some new extras and a posing scene --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Yumiko's last call scene at the night bar gets new images in high res and webp format --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Jessica's night swim renders at the pool have been upgraded to 2560x1440 using AI upscaling. Animation and dialogue have been improved too. --> will be part of 0.3.7.0

  • Alice private pole dance scene in the pink room has been rendered again in 2560x1440 webp format. New images and an animation have been added. The dialogue has been improved and partially rewritten. --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Alice gets an update to her sperm congestion scene at the doctor's office, which inludes hight res web images and three achievements --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Alice pole dance sene at the bar has been rendered again in 2560x1440 webp format. Some new images have been added and the dialogue has been remade from scratch --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Alice's "school girl" reward scene is updated to 2560x1440 webp format --> will be part of 0.3.7.0

  • File structure and content for scenes, events and appointments have been cleaned up. A lot is under the hood, but will redue time in the future. Some ahievements have been converted to multi image and triggers and requirements have been added. --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Flashing breasts at the restaurant has been added to the special action achievements --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Menu choices are moved to the right of the screne, so that they are no longer blocking the view. They will also be nicer and smalelr overal --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • The text to speach for the AI voice can be switched off now in the preferences --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Amy gets emotions for her swimwear sprites, her night wear sprites and a resolution upgrade for all her actions --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Images for player actions (relax, jog, train) have been upgraded to double resolution webp format --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Company favor changes will be displayed on the left side now --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
  • Sperm sample donation at the doctor will be done with the total quantity for each type now --> will be part of 0.3.7.0
Bug fixes
  • In Yvette's pole dance scene, there was an inconsistency with the wardrobe and when she had a drink with you afterwards, image overlays were messed up --> will be fixed with 0.3.7.0
  • In certain cases a girl's location could be shown as "restaurant", but she wasn't in the restaurant --> will be fixed with 0.3.7.0
  • Groping a girl at the restaurant lead to blocking the grope action for other girls as well --> will be fixed with 0.3.7.0
  • When you send a girl home who was the current doctor, she could roam the doctor's office as a ghost (invisible, but still talking to you) --> will be fixed with 0.3.7.0
  • Deliza could show up twice as a nurse in the doctor's office --> will be fixed with 0.3.7.0
  • After the message for the ankle check, Sara didn't show up at your room teh next morning when you did more than 2 actions at the restaurant --> will be fixed with 0.3.7.0
  • When you were not in your room when Sara picks you up for the ankle checkup, wrong overlay images were shown. In addition, the overlay UI on the right was shown --> will be fixed with 0.3.7.0
Is the update going to break save games?

When I was young, I had a friend who lived down the street who was always joking around, often including sexual innuendoes and euphemisms, some of which he invented on the spot (or I assumed he did). Anyway, whenever he would see a girl with a particularly nice ass walk by, he would say something like, "She could give me a 'poopy dick' any day!"

I just tacked on the "Syndrome" part, because it seemed to fit.

I'm intrigued as to what this will mean. Is it the player who can link scenes or the dev?
I appreciate only Darkhound knows at this stage but, along with the girls initiating sex scenes, this could mean a radical change to how the game is played.

The game has to provide the possibility to link scene A with B. There needs to be some text and often also some additional renders to go from A to B.
When the "link" is provided by the game, the player can chose to use it or not.
For example Yvette doesn't force you to go from the night bar to her room to have a shower with her. You can say "No" and the link will not be used.
I hope that clarifies the point somewhat.
