If there is one of the eligible girl for the gym shower event (desire, eva, ...) in the main gym area: there is 50% one of them will be in the shower. Then there is 75% chance that she put the sign "girl in the shower" but if you enter when the sign is on: the girl will be piss.

Honestly, there's nothing more to it than type a letter and hit enter; I for one can't give you an answer to your problem because I have no idea what exactly it is. Maybe if you gave us screenshots? (If you do, please use the spoiler tag.)
