Have you tried just waiting in your room all day? Just advance the time by clicking on the 30 min. icon and see what happens. Worse case send her home again, wait 3 days before bringing her back and try again.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but typically in my experience, files with a .rpy extension do not appear unless you use unren.bat or a similar program to decompile the .rpyc files. If that is the case, then create a new folder for Holiday Island. Download the game's ZIP file from the developer's Patreon page and place it within that new folder and uncompress it. You now have a clean version of the game. You can install the NiceErotic mod as directed on the developer's page and you can move your 'saves' folder from the corrupt version into the clean version and you should be good. If you want to use unren.bat to extract the RPA packages so you can see all the images, fine. But I wouldn't mess with anything else. Give it a try and hopefully it will solve your issues.

Thanks Bantry - I've never used the unren.bat pgm or any decompiler. I never move my save folder from the previous version. I keep a main root Holiday Island folder for all previous & current version. Previous items are held in an OLD DATA folder while creating a new Holiday Island v2.1 within the root folder Holiday Island. I have also found this error upon occasion when visiting a girl's room. I don't know what is unique about the 'cl_character' object has no attribute 'is_special_character', but this obviously is a problem in several instances within.
Sorry to be such a nuisance but it is frustrating. Thank you

You probably did not installed the mod correctly.

How to "install" the mod:
On PC: Extract the content of the attached zip file into the folder where you installed your Holiday Island main game.

On a Mac: Navigate further down in the folder where you installed your Holiday Island game, until you see a folder named game. Extract the content into this folder (not into the folder named game, but into the folder where you can see "game" as a folder).

That's exactly what I did. It's the same method as every other Ren'Py mod, but only this one is giving me errors

Edit : if you're only missing the "idle" picture, try to copy the attached pic into this folder :

i can't to seem to be able to trigger the scene where RENÉE TO TEACH ME HOW TO GIVE A MASSAGE any one has tips on how i have her stats maxed out i tried to see her on the spa over and over but nothing happen

2) How do you trigger Heather's quest? I have asked in the reception continuously for 10 days but it is said that no such meeting is available.

Go to the spa, sit in the chair. If Renee is your masseuse, you'll have the option to ask her to teach you massages. Answered based on info you provided. If you haven't had Amy tell you that she sure wishes she could get a massage and asking you if you know how to give one, you'll never get the option with Renee.

Did you know Puppet Master has a FAQ linked in his sig and there is a Guide linked on the first page ???

Guessing by your status of 'Newbie' you haven't played the game too long. Meaning chances are you haven't had the events/scenes with Faye that unlock the sauna. If that is the case, read the Guide and/or Puppet Master's FAQ. Reception will not give you a quest for Heather. All quest from the Wished and Desires come from Joy. Have you had at least 3 prior visit with Joy, where she grants you other abilities, explains Eva and others time at Gen Tech, opened your new room?
